What a choke from Skrzypulec and Ogar in last two races. I'm now in nervous if they will able to keep 3rd place, but Im not optimist...

They are nine pts ahead of :SLO so they can finish two boats behind them in the medal race (8 pts difference)?

The funny thing is that Turkey is kind of a newcomer, but a medal was not actually something unexpected. In fact, I expected a lot more from them. This bronze medal is still a historic achievement, but given the quality of their gymnasts, they could have walked away with four medals instead of one. A lot of missed opportunities here, for sure.

I'm actually a lot more impressed with Armenia. Turkey spends a lot of money on gymnastics, but Armenia indeed has a small program with little hope of success. The fact that one of their gymnasts got a medal is mindblowing.

Yes, I noticed Turkey has at least two world class male gymnasts who can mix it up with the traditional powerhouses. I even predicted them winning one medal in the contest but I forgot in which event :p

Walsh can go and pack his bags :yikes:

Ugh! Way over Q in third attempt but red flag. He could be out!

:POL Bukowiecki 20,01 and he's out for sure. His girlfriend (Kaczmarek) has a much better Games  :p

:EGY Hassan into the final with big Q.

I think Hodkingson will be the best finisher of the British Three but I don’t think she will be quite there on the podium.

Yeah, this Mu girl looks to be in form for gold but as usual with 800m, you can't predict how that sprint finish goes in case someone gets boxed.

Eurosport are reporting major disagreements within the British Camp with athletes not happy with the preparation and organisation.

I'm not surprised. You can only blame so much on Asher-Smith's injury. Maybe the women in 800m can save the day for you? Because Reekie appears to have what Muir doesn't - a strong kick finish in the last 250 meters.

Oh well, half a century ago the old people most likely said nearly the same:

And the current TikTok 'generation' will say something similar in 20-30 years from now against whatever is the new thing young people do then.

Totally. In 30 years break dance will be deemed boring and outdated IMO. The same how snowboard giant slalom totally lost its juice since Nagano 1998.

ICF is doing what they need to in the eyes of the IOC in order to keep their sport in the Olympics. There’s always been a debate about wether or not they’ve fought hard enough for athletes/fans wishes.

IOC didn’t like that the men and women race separate distances.

Whatever it takes to have Tetris Online as Olympic Sport in Brisbane 2032. I can see that coming!
