  1. I have tried to calculate the number of events for each country. True, this is very difficult to do, so I just counted the events in which athletes achieved entry standards. I know there are some mistakes, but the approximate number could be of help. You can find your country here: https://totallympics.com/qualification-tracker/tokyo2020/nations/

There's some info in here that's interesting. She could still be named to the team in the 400m free if she's qualified in the 800m/1500m free. My guess is she's leaving her options open but really focussing on the relay spot for the 200m free. https://swimswam.com/canadian-trials-psych-sheets-oleksiak-drops-100-fly-no-mcintosh-in-400-free/

  20. watched the fight earlier today... I thought it was worse than it actually was...but still, imho the 1 st round (basically, the decisive one) should have gone by a very short margin to the Italian... then, round 2 and 3 were pretty clear...the second stint was all for Mouhiidine and the 3rd, after a messy start, was definitely in favour of the Russian... it could have gone either way, but I'm not surprised at all it went to Russia... quite different story the women's -51kg semifinal match between ITA and GBR...luckily it wasn't a qualifier anymore, but there's no way to give GBR that match...actually, to give GBR a single round of that match (even the 3rd messy and useless round)... p.s. no comment on the 1st round judging of the box-off in the women's -60kg class between GRE and ITA...that was a full old AIBA attempt to steal a verdict... fortunately, the Greek was such a disaster in rounds 2 and 3 that even those biased judges couldn't do anything anymore...

  24. Our World Cup hopes will be alive for another 8 days first ever away win against Bahrain, even though technically that was a "home match" 2 wins out 4, and I assume beating Cambodia will be easy. so it's win or die match against Iraq now. if it wasn't for North Korea's withdrawal Iran would qualify even after losing to Iraq but now only a win will be enough.

  29. Either way I hope Aoife Gormally gets her chance. She put in a fantastic performance at the Europeans finishing 7th and would be our first female shooter since 1996 and she is high up in the rankings. Derek on the other hand has had his chance at multiple Games and is not currently very high in the rankings. I wish we could take both of course!

If the IOC waited to reallocate the spots, would get and another tripartie would have gotten a spot, and I know for sure had asked for one. SO basically (and other tripartie countries) are SOL Looks like will luck out this time @rybak

  41. Final Standing available here Herberth10 hckošice Agger It will be a short presentation of the three medallists this time as my time is limited these days. A big congratulation to all three medallists of this prediction contest which are @Herberth10, @hckošice and @Agger The winner and on top of the podium was @Herberth10. A superb last day secured him a big point difference to the nearest predictor. This is his first gold and his second medal of 2021. A huge congratulation with the gold medal. Well-deserved! In second place and getting the silver medal was @hckošice. A silver medal is a great performance, but for the keen ice hockey fan, and with being in first place before the lat day, a feeling of disappointment is understandable. This is one of the contest @hckošice really wants to win and this time it was close. Maybe next year it will finally happen. With all this said, winning a silver medal is a great achievement. It's his first medal this year. Big congratualtion with a deserved 2nd place and silver medal! Last predictor on the podium is one who has already been on the podium a couple of times this year. With some good Top 3 predictions @Agger secured a bronze medal in a close race with many other predictors. He was the third predictor in the contest who reached at least 500 points overall and this was just enough for him to take the last spot on the podium. This is already his third medal of the 2021 prediction contest season. One silver and two bronze medals. Big congrats with the bronze medal! The three honourable mentions for this contest will go to @juliosilva, @Ufilov and @Henry_Leon. Solid performances from all three. Lastly, thank you to all who participated in this prediction contest. This week the prediction contest for Men's EURO 2020 will start and tonight I open the thread for the 2021 Cope America prediction contest. I'm well aware of the uncertainty about the current status of the tournament and if it will go ahead as scheduled. We can only wait and see what the finally decision will be. One last thing, a reminder to all users. About a week ago the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Bet Contest Discussion Thread opened. You can find it here. That's all from me, your prediction contest manager, Wumo.

Zverenka Petra Žňavu v ŠK ŠOG Nitra zabehla svoj druhý najlepší výkon v kariére a za vlastným slovenským rekordom 55,19 z minuloročných augustových majstrovstiev Slovenska v Trnave zaostal iba o jedinú desatinu. Prekážkarskú štvorstovku v Hengele vyhrala domáca favoritka Femke Bolová v rekorde mítingu 54,33 pred Annou Ryžikovovou z Ukrajiny (54,59) a Juhoafričankou Wandou Nelovou (55,25). Emma Zapletalová získala skalpy bývalej európskej šampiónky a striebornej z OH 2016 v Riu de Janeiro Petersenovej z Dánska (55,55), Britky Liny Nielsenovej (55,76), Couckuytovej z Belgicka (56,70) i Barbadosanky Belleovej (57,19). "Som rada, že to tam padlo a potvrdila som čas z minulého roka. Pritom som ešte stále urobila chybičky, ale to sú prekážky. Pred poslednou som išla trochu opatrne a urobila som o krok viac. Verím, že jedného dňa prídu preteky, v ktorých neurobím chybu a bude to veľmi pekný výkon. V prípade ideálneho behu si verím aj na čas pod 55 sekúnd. Aj keď som sa kvalifikovala na olympiádu, môj hlavný cieľ ostávajú júlové ME do 23 rokov v Tallinne, kde by som chcela uspieť," povedala pre Slovenský atletický zväz (SAZ).

  46. If they don't want to have 17 teams in those two relays, then they should invite the Swiss and Irish swimmers (perhaps only those not qualified in other events) from the relay teams to compete in individual events. As I mentioned before, it reminds me of the Kristel Vourna situation from 2016 where they invited her, revoked the invitation, then re-invited her (only after they faced backlash for it). Having at most 3-4 additional swimmers in Tokyo really isn't going to kill them.

I mean, I don't want to wait for a whole week to get the official final rankings, and I am still not sure if I understand correctly how IJF calculates the ranking, so I don't want to waste my time adding all the scores for nothing.
