Olympian1010 7,973 Posted November 26, 2023 Author #1462 Share Posted November 26, 2023 I missed the conversation yesterday, but I also take the visual presentation into an account when judging (if available). Although, lyrics, uniqueness, and vocal talent probably have a higher weight for me. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Popular Post maestro 650 Posted November 26, 2023 Popular Post #1464 Share Posted November 26, 2023 It was another great night of TISC, even more for those who stayed up until the end and didn't leave after the third session like I did . A huge thank you to everyone who voted for our song (@Henry_Leon, @Pablita, @SteveParker, @NikolaB, @Ionoutz24, @IoNuTzZ, @vinipereira, @Benolympique, @Bohemia, @konig, @LDOG, @ManuCHIL, @Illya, @Hipooo, @dezbee2008, @Olympian1010, @Wanderer, @Memo, @heywoodu, @Werloc, @Vektor, @kungshamra71, @Belle). I'm glad you liked it as much as we did. I think this contest had a very high level of quality, therefore I'm very happy with our 6th place. We chose a strong entry this year, Mantissa was a huge instant hit here when it was first released. Fun fact, Marina Satti and Michalis Kouinelis, who wrote the lyrics, had met when they worked together for the greek dubbing in Moana, a few months before doing Mantissa. Congratulations to @Cinnamon Bun on the win and to @Vektor, @Henry_Leon, @Pablita, @SteveParker on their medals . Congratulations to @Glen, @Makedonas and @Yannakis for our gold medal in the team event . A huge thank you to @Olympian1010 for all the hard work you put in order to overcome all the technical struggles and produce this great show . A few notes regarding our votes. Indonesia, Slovakia and Serbia were the first to miss out on our top 12. Italy and Brazil were the only nations that got points from all three members of our jury. Great Britain got our 12 points with a combined total of 22 points and Mexico got our 1 point with a combined total of 11 points. Serbian song was the only one that didn't get points, despite being voted by more than one jury member. From the songs I voted, 9 ended up receiving points from Greece. However, two of the three that didn't, were in my top 6. From the songs I voted, 8 ended up in the eventual top 12. Below is my personal ballot. 1st 12 pts Hungary 2nd 11 pts Great Britain 3rd 10 pts Croatia 4th 9 pts Germany 5th 8 pts Indonesia 6th 7 pts Slovakia 7th 6 pts Canada 8th 5 pts Netherlands 9th 4 pts Malta 10th 3 pts Mexico 11th 2 pts Italy 12th 1 pts Brazil Res1 Denmark Res2 Romania Res3 Spain I hope to see you all in the spring for the next TISC! Wumo 3,001 Posted November 26, 2023 #1466 Share Posted November 26, 2023 Big congrats to @Cinnamon Bun with the win. Ed Sheeran is a great musician, so well-deserved succes for him at the TISC. Also congrats to @Vektor with 2nd place and @Gianlu33@Henry_Leon@Pablita@SteveParker with the 3rd place. A big thank you to @Dnl, @SteveParker, @vinipereira, @Benolympique, @Bohemia, @Cinnamon Bun, @catgamer, @Hipooo, @Wanderer, @Glen, @hckošice, @dcro, @intoronto, @Griff88 for giving points to the Danish entry. Thank you very much for the 10 points @OlympicIRL! Massive thank you from @Ionoutz24 and @Werloc for 11 points! First Reserve: New Zealand (Sorry once again, @Wanderer) Second Reserve Argentina Third Reserve France A big thank you should also go to @Olympian1010 for hosting and managing another great edition of TISC. Loved the opening ceremony and the cultural and musical inputs from your side. Despite the technical difficulties (which I can fully relate to), you managed to put together an amazing Grand Final. Well done! konig, Henry_Leon, hckošice and 4 others
rybak 3,217 Posted November 26, 2023 #1467 Share Posted November 26, 2023 May I ask for official table with points and which country in which position did finished? I'm bad in counting, but if I'm correct Poland finished on 20th place, right?

Poland finished in 21st. https://leaderboardhq.com/xy9mabui Disclaimer: this is not official OlympicIRL and I did several checks during the Grand Final though, and every time our tables were exactly the same. justony 454 Posted November 27, 2023 #1470 Share Posted November 27, 2023 I could resist voting for well known authors, so yeah no surprise, my winner ends on 23rd. 😄 Anyway, congratulations to GB. Quite good place for our song, 15th, if I recall, only Tina Maze was better a few years ago.
