:GRE Polyniki Emmanouilidou (19 yo) ran 100m in 11.21 today :hyper:

Fastest 100m by a Greek woman since 2005! Her improvement each year has been very impressive (11.94 in 2019, 11.71 in 2020, 11.55 in 2021, 11.44 in 2022, now 11.21 in 2023 and it's only June). I think as long as she stays injury-free we will see her in Paris, and I think we also have a good chance to make it in the 4x100 relay.

And now she got 22.94 in 200m, which is a new U23 NR (the previous one was a tie between her and Maria Belibasaki, who both had 23.18!) :yes

Of course her improvement each year in 200m has also been very impressive:

2019-24.64

2020-24.25

2021-23.77

2022-23.20

2023-22.94

Kristjan Čeh threw 71,86 m in discus today in Estonia (Heino Lipp Memorial), which is the furthest anyone has thrown in the last 15 years! It's apparently the 4th longest throw ever made!

Daniel Stahl :SWE threw 71.45m also.

Together with Ståhl yes. Ståhl’s PB and NR is also 71,86. It’s from

2019.

I've talked about 18-yo talent Niels Laros before. He's having an absolutely stellar season once again in 800m, 1500m and 5000m!

Yesterday he equaled the 1500m Dutch senior NR of 3:32.89. He equaled a 22 year old national record at 18 years old:yikes:

Indian interstate meet ...... Sreeshanker has a massive leap of 8.41 in long jump which takes him to position 2 on world leading times this season .... position 1 is also held by an Indian Jeswin Aldrin with 8.42 ...A rare sight to see in world athletics 2 positions held by Indians

The Neeraj Chopra effect on Indian atheletics has been great he has ....we have great world season positions  right now in 3 events .... Triple 4th with Praveen chitravel , Long jump 1 and 2 , and in javelin 2 ( Neeraj)  and 9 ( manu) ...
