  1. AWARDS CEREMONY Sunday, January 8th, 16:00 (UTC+0)
  2. Today (Friday) is the last day to vote. I hope we can still have the votes from @Agger, @thepharoah, @OlympicsFan, @Siddhartha Talukdar, @Giovanni Gianni Cattaneo, @Pablita and @CCB (who all voted in the first stage), but also from anyone who still wishes to participate. To vote, CLICK HERE.
  3. 18 Totallympics members voted in the second stage so far. Closest categories are Best Female Athlete and Best Women's Team - in both, 3 nominees with about the same number of points. Not many voters for the Olympic Spirit Award, so anyone can take it. Don't forget to vote if you didn't already!
  4. Either way, I hope you can vote now in second stage
  5. Probably the main reason they were voted. Not because the final position, but the historical result.
  6. But in all seriousness, there's really a lot of people who could have been nominated. I really expected Rayssa Leal to made the Youth Athlete list, but in the end she only had my vote - and then, of course, I remembered that Totallympics members don't care about "urban" sports
  7. Yes, although Pogačar is mentioned in "Moment of the Year".
  8. It's not that easy in some cases because people often vote just for the athlete (without further explanation), and sometimes they explain the reasoning behind the vote (also citing different things, for the same athlete). But in general, based on what people said: Mixed Team: unexpected medal in Ski Jumping, the first ever for the nation in this sport. Iivo Niskanen: waited to congratulate the last-place skier. Sofia Goggia: injured, won a silver medal. Kai Verbij: sacrificed his medal chances, preventing a crash with his opponent. Brittany Bowe: gave up spot for teammate Erin Jackson, who ended up winning gold. Lindsey Jacobellis: won gold after many failed attempts.
  9. SECOND STAGE OF VOTING Voting for the 2022 Totallympics Awards winners is open (click the image above). All Totallympics members can vote, including those who didn't vote in the first stage. Before voting, don't forget to include your Totallympics' username. The list of voters will be updated here. For each category, you can rank a maximum of three nominees of your preference, following the order: #1 (20 points) #2 (10 points) #3 (5 points) You don't have to rank 3 nominees. You can rank 2 or simply pick only one (20 points) per category; You don't have to vote in all categories, only the ones you want. Votes can be edited until the deadline. Voters have until Friday, January 6th to vote. Please contact me if you have any questions.
  10. For nominations totals, Great Britain include the nominations for England. Sport Moment of the Year doesn't count for the nations tally. I hope everyone can vote in the second stage, which will determine the winners. Soon, I will leave instructions in this thread of how to procede.
