    Flávia Saraiva will only compete in UB today. It's over for Brazil. Now we only have possibilities of a medal with Rebeca as usual.

    Yes, they forgot to pay the US$ 1,5k fee and FIBA refused to accept their registration. Glad Brazil will be allowed now, I think it would be a disaster if we didn't participate.

    Bolsonaro supporters have blocked 270 federal highways in Brazil (+many others smaller roads), and yesterday they blocked the main entry to our biggest airport (some flights were cancelled). Police initially did nothing, but now is stopping the protesters.

    Most votes from the old right-wing parties (like PSDB) went to Bolsonaro's PL, where you can find some of the most lunatic politicians in the world (antivaxxers, flat-earthers and, in worst cases, fascists), but the party isn't really united, so some can "help" Lula's government althought it won't be easy. Lula is also expected to have the support of some center and right-wing politicians.

    Thank God, it was super embarrassing when your federation didn't pay the registration fee lol (that's probably why the women's team have to compete in that qualifying group to advance to main draw?)

    Lucas Bitencourt did terrible today, I think most of his scores were discarded, imagine if we had a better athlete to replace him... Now I miss Zanetti's Rings score

    was doing great, but in the end had the second worst Vault score among all teams, which ruined their chances of qualification. Good result for , qualification for team final is the only thing I expected here, although we can get a miracle medal from Caio Souza in Vault.

    just casually being the best in most apparatus, definitely the favourites for a quota.

    15.700 for ZOU Jingyuan in PB (9.2E), hard to see a score like this nowadays. Despite that, China wasn't great (for their level) and maybe won't win a quota in the final.

    Map of the election. Each candidate won in 13 states. Lula won in all 9 Northeast states, and Bolsonaro won in all 3 Central-West states (+Federal District/Brasília) and all 3 South states. Interesting enough, although Lula lost in São Paulo state, he won in the capital by a good margin (53,5-46,5). In Rio, he lost both in the state and in the capital (52,6 to Bolso).

    As a fun fact, Bolso was heavily supported by Neymar in this election, who did multiple posts in social media and even appeared in a live feed of the president. Now people are joking that Neymar will never win something important (Ballon d'or, World Cup title, or the election).

    Not at all, I would say that although many of his followers are "extremists", I would like to believe there are also good people in the mix. But evangelicals in Brazil (about 80% votes for him) can't see anything past religion, which is sad.

    Bolsonaro allies have a lot to celebrate (biggest party in the chamber of deputies, about half of the state governors elected), it won't be an easy term for Lula.

    I would say most of his supporters don't really care about the economy, education, public health and such, but only his morals, since he is "pro-family" and has "christian values". A simple google search shows that he's not such things, but nothing he does will be able to convince his supporters otherwise. It's staggering that 58mi people voted for him, but I'm relieved that this nightmare had ended (for now...)

    I'm most upset about Flavia than anything else. Hopefully she still can compete in team final but is unlikely we'll fight for the quota now (especially if she sits out in FX and BB). It was shocking to see Rebeca out of vault final but she can get that medal next time.
