  1. It wouldn't be a multi-sport game if there wasn't a marriage proposal
  2. Wheelchair Rugby medal winners USA gets the Paralympic quota. Canada, Brazil and Colombia will have another chance at the 2024 Qualification Tournament (Canada is the favourite). Nice to see Brazil winning its first ever Parapan American Games medal after losing many times to Colombia.
  3. Winter Paralympians and world medalists in cross-country skiing, Aline Rocha and Cristian Ribera are now Parapan American Games medalists Despite winning multiple medals in Track, Brazil has no tradition in wheelchair events, so good move bringing them to the Games.
  4. Para Archery quotas Men's W1: Men's Compound: Men's Recurve: Women's W1: Women's Compound: Women's Recurve:
  5. When you break a WR but don't win a medal... Elizabeth Rodrigues set a new WR of 17.80m in the women's Discus Throw F53, but as the event had only two competitors, no medals were awarded.
  6. Shooting Para Sport quotas P1: P2: R3: R4:

  10. has some outside chances, but I wouldn't bet in any of them (maybe D'Almeida). In Tokyo we won an unexpected medal in Tennis for the first time, so maybe we'll add another sport to the list in Paris. Archery (men's individual, Marcus D'Almeida) Canoe Slalom (women's C1, Ana Sátila) Rhythmic Gymnastics (group all-around) Table Tennis (men's singles, Hugo Calderano) Triathlon (men's individual, Miguel Hidalgo)
  11. Goalball Asian/Pacific Championships quotas Men's: Women's:
  12. If wins the African qualifier, then they will get that quota and the World Cup spot goes to .
  13. A podium sweep for in the first medal event of the Games.
  14. Competition has started with Table Tennis.
  15. Despite ignoring the Pan American Games (mostly because it was too expensive), SporTV will broadcast the Parapan in Brazil.
  16. Yes, but most likely will go to one of the NPCs that are already qualified ( ). If one of them is the champion, then the quota will be reallocated for the 5th place at the IBSA World Games ().
  17. The "highest ranked three (3) athletes" rule applies only for the nations that already qualified an athlete. For example, if qualification ended today, and would get a second quota via ranking in women's trampoline, and in men's. The other places would go to NOCs that have not qualified an gymnast yet. Also, in the end I think both the host and the Oceania spot will be unused as they should qualify via ranking.
  18. That's why I said that it won't be that easy for Camilla to get a second quota for since and are in very good position for a second quota...
  19. This event will give direct quotas for the 2024 Paralympics in Archery, Boccia, Shooting, Table Tennis and Wheelchair Tennis. Also, the top teams in Goalball, Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Rugby will qualify for the Paralympics.
  20. No, they are not. Camilla even prefers her middle name "Lopes", but FIG uses her last name "Gomes".
  21. According to the qualification system, the first scenario is the correct one, meaning Camilla can get an additional quota for if she's one of the 3 highest athletes in the Olympic qualification ranking. Meaning Alice can't obtain a quota via World Cup series. The same for Hu, Methot, Stevens and Songhurst. It's not that easy for Camilla to qualify since she'll be competing with the likes of Zhu and Page (all qualified for the final here, but behind another athlete from their nations), but she certainly has a better shot than Alice would have.
  22. Men's Trampoline quotas: Women's Trampoline quotas:
  23. Didn't know Kate Winslet could sing, and the song is good! Funny how some songs can transport you back in time, even if sometimes they don't completely fit your style.

Without most of their Track and Field stars, suffered the biggest drop here in the rankings, as well as in gold and total medals percentage. all had their best Games ever, and I think some other nations too: . had a huge increase in the total number of medals, but failed to win more gold medals, which is certainly a bit disappointing for a host nation. They lost a staggering number of direct finals (14 out of 17), which would certainly help them in the ranking (they also were 8th in 2019). Even with a drop in medals, achieved a better ranking compared to Lima, which I think is a first for a previous host? Record number of nations that medaled in a single edition with 34, thanks in part to six NOCs that managed to win at least one medal after none in Lima: . Three nations that had at least one medal in 2019 did not win any this time: .
