  1. @Khadidja Aisha Did you get the chance to see any of the African Games in Rabat this year?
  2. Also saw that the games will see record participantion. The ICSD expects around 1,000 athletes/officials, and 33 countries for the games.
  3. 10 Days To Go! Hoping that there’s some livestreaming . For any of our Italian users who may live nearby, entry to all sports is free.
  4. Why is no one streaming Sepaktakraw? This is the one games where most of the best play. I found one tiny stream (and I think that God Channel streamed yesterday’s)
  5. Similar feeling. Total respect for the people who master kata, Poomsae, aikido, etc. I just don’t think it’s worth it’s weight. Its borderline more of an artform, more than a sport. Still they appear to be around for now, so whatever.
  6. Which classic is this road used in? I can’t believe a town would pave the sides.
  7. One of the best traditions in American professional sport. All the ready bears are taken to children’s hospitals as Christmas gifts for the children there. I also the Michigan (college) American Football tradition where after the 1st Q, everyone turns and waves to the children’s hospital (which overlooks the stadium).
  8. Literally same, though I may have to stop my indulgence on Thursday too.
  9. The greatest of all treasures (still missing some streams though). I’m slowly putting together 4/5 channels to get complete coverage . I can’t watch shit this week though, because I have multiple semester finals that I am woefully prepared for and may fail.
  10. But it is mixed, so it’ll be Olympic by 2028 . It’s also clearly urban and appealing to the youth. You got yourself an IOC Triple Crown there.
  11. Yeah, none of these will be adorning my tree this year. How did Amazon even allow these to be sold
  12. Where? I know of few, but I wouldn’t compliment any of them. RCTI seems to be providing the best coverage (a real shock), but even their coverage isn’t great. I do love multi-sport events, that’s why I get frustrated when they’re run poorly like this one.
  13. My geography and memory is really failing this week, and it’s seriously concerning. and aren’t even that similar
  14. Well the CAC countries have proven world class in all three, so all are technically deserving of being on the program. Excited about Netball, should be an interesting podium there. should dominate surfing, especially since it’s a home games for them.
  15. Well there were many tracks like St. Mortiz in existence back then. Bobsled has been in almost every Winter Olympics (Squaw Valley didn’t include it because building a track wasn’t worth the investment to them). We’d definitely still have bobsled and luge without Igls. Someone else would’ve eventually built a permanent track anyways.
  16. Becuase it’s one of the easiest tracks, and it’s in a central location.
  17. Life and bobsled were well established Olympics sports before then. Igls is responsible for the modern era though, and it is one of the most iconic tracks in the world. It’s just not hardest, and the start is pretty much all that matters.
  18. Powerlifting also had their quotas increased from 80 to 96, a welcome addition of more athletes. Should be 12, instead of 10, per event now.
  19. Was doing some research today, and came across some fistball news. If the attached report is still correct, Fistball has seen major expansion. Men’s Tournament: 8 teams, and for the first time ever Women’s Tournament: 6 teams https://www.ifa-fistball.com/en/world-games-nehmen-frauen-wettbewerb-im-faustball-auf-manner-wettbewerb-kunftig-mit-acht-mannschaften/
  20. Igls - arguably the easiest track in the world to drive.
  21. 800m is hella short. It definitely won’t be a World Cup track. Seems like a waste of funds.
  22. Holy shit! We’re lucky 5 athletes didn’t end up dead per race back then. That has to be some of the worst track construction I’ve ever seen
