Well, 39 GOP Senators have officially signed the paperwork needed to ask the US Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade (the decision that legalized abortion). The fight for women’s rights begins today. California will be the first to challenge the decision if it’s overturned.

The only time I had a serious injury was from being an idiot at school. I was teasing a friend (by hiding his phone), and he bent my thumb back so hard/fast that one tore a ligament in two places, and got the ligament stuck in between two bones. I had surgery that week (right before the track season ), and then recovery for 12 weeks (I had to learn to write with my right hand). My surgeon was really good, and actually took pictures of the injury and surgery for me. I’ve put them in the spoiler below. Don’t look if you can’t handle seeing blood, bones, muscles, open wounds, etc.

Yeah, I’ve been largely disappointed by both the app and website so far. From what I’ve heard, the app should be a great resource come games time.

I’m down to post PDFs of multi-sports games. We would need to save them to the website however, and that would require an insane amount of storage. That’s why @Sindo wants tables (or at least some format) other results. My problem is that I find tables quite hard to use. So neither system really works for me. That’s my point of view. I also think it would be awesome to have an all-in-one results place though.

Of course the most beautiful name of all Is Matt Nelsen...

Iran actually has one of the best mountain sports traditions in the world. I’ll be curious to see how your skimo athletes do. Biathlon could exist. You have decent cross country skiers, and quite clearly Iranians are pretty handy with a rifle as well. I’m actually a bit surprised that Skating and Curling haven’t caught on being as they’re the most accessible winter sports in my opinion. I mean Iran would appreciate some more medal chances at the Asian Winter Games I’d imagine...
