  1. The greatest of all treasures (still missing some streams though). I’m slowly putting together 4/5 channels to get complete coverage . I can’t watch shit this week though, because I have multiple semester finals that I am woefully prepared for and may fail.
  2. But it is mixed, so it’ll be Olympic by 2028 . It’s also clearly urban and appealing to the youth. You got yourself an IOC Triple Crown there.
  3. Yeah, none of these will be adorning my tree this year. How did Amazon even allow these to be sold
  4. Where? I know of few, but I wouldn’t compliment any of them. RCTI seems to be providing the best coverage (a real shock), but even their coverage isn’t great. I do love multi-sport events, that’s why I get frustrated when they’re run poorly like this one.
  5. My geography and memory is really failing this week, and it’s seriously concerning. and aren’t even that similar
  6. Well the CAC countries have proven world class in all three, so all are technically deserving of being on the program. Excited about Netball, should be an interesting podium there. should dominate surfing, especially since it’s a home games for them.
  7. Well there were many tracks like St. Mortiz in existence back then. Bobsled has been in almost every Winter Olympics (Squaw Valley didn’t include it because building a track wasn’t worth the investment to them). We’d definitely still have bobsled and luge without Igls. Someone else would’ve eventually built a permanent track anyways.
  8. Becuase it’s one of the easiest tracks, and it’s in a central location.
  9. Life and bobsled were well established Olympics sports before then. Igls is responsible for the modern era though, and it is one of the most iconic tracks in the world. It’s just not hardest, and the start is pretty much all that matters.
  10. Powerlifting also had their quotas increased from 80 to 96, a welcome addition of more athletes. Should be 12, instead of 10, per event now.
  11. Was doing some research today, and came across some fistball news. If the attached report is still correct, Fistball has seen major expansion. Men’s Tournament: 8 teams, and for the first time ever Women’s Tournament: 6 teams https://www.ifa-fistball.com/en/world-games-nehmen-frauen-wettbewerb-im-faustball-auf-manner-wettbewerb-kunftig-mit-acht-mannschaften/
  12. Igls - arguably the easiest track in the world to drive.
  13. 800m is hella short. It definitely won’t be a World Cup track. Seems like a waste of funds.
  14. Holy shit! We’re lucky 5 athletes didn’t end up dead per race back then. That has to be some of the worst track construction I’ve ever seen
  15. Oh, I didn’t know there was a new track in the works. Where?
  16. The most logical ways would be: a) best times (“slowest” times unfortunately don’t make the cut), b) go by world ranking (we say bye to the lowest ranked runners). It might be a good idea to keep track of both of those @Wumo (at least who has the slowest times and lowest rankings)
  17. Fun little video about : I have read that researchers think that the people of Bhutan are some of the happiest, but it’s inconclusive like the guy says in the video. I’d love to visit Nepal and Bhutan though. Bhutan is arguably one of the most, if not the most, successful socialist countries in history. I do know that the government is a bit more suppressive than it seems in the video, and like every country their are some serious social problems behind the scene. The story of Bhutan’s history, politics, and economy is very interesting and worth looking up if you have time.
  18. I want an Indian to name their horse Our Kashmir, or something. A nice bit of drama always makes equestrian better.
  19. Shooting in New Orleans . 11 injured
  20. I really don’t understand how people can still defend the organization of these games.
  21. I seriously can’t believe how terrible the organization for these games is. The sports and ceremonies have somehow been good, but everything else has been quite shit. I’m ready to give up on the games on day 1 . The South Asian Games won’t have much streaming either. Might have to wait to fill my multi-sports games need until the 2019 Winter Deaflympics (assuming there’s even any live-streams for those)
  22. I got the RCTI Plus stream to work so thanks. So sad they’re not streaming to YouTube. I would love to go back and watch some Chinlone when I had more time . Same goes for Wushu. I couldn’t get Toggle to work, but their lineup wasn’t that good anyways. I still watch ESPN5’s Asian Games coverage from last year. I like the way they stream. Unfortunately, they’re not streaming all that much today. Football, Gymnastics, 3x3, and Weightlifting.
  23. Haven’t had much luck down that route. The only reason I asked was because I couldn’t find what I wanted.
  24. I pay for three vpns, one should be able to crack the code. Send them my way sir.
  25. The American Empire wasn’t big, please allow me this one. I feel bad about the way we completely abandon the islands to the Japanese during WW2. On the bright side, many Filipinos have an easier path to US citizenship because of our escapades there.
