  1. The fuck can I do! Our reps don’t listen and because of fucking uneducated half the country is, they keep electing these idiots. All I can do is use my voice. It’s all my generation has. There’s no opportunity, not enough jobs, when we speak out, we get pushed, we’re constantly dismissed by people completely out of touch with the hard realities of this country. I guess nothing matters anymore. Fuck laws, fuck morals, fuck civilization? Tell me what I’m supposed to do.
  2. What she did to Osaka was shameful, but she also has a point. She has had to overcome extreme prejudice in the tennis world (and in the greater public eye). Also, dodging drug tests seems to be a new norm now so...
  3. Accept that it goes directly against what the majority of national juries want! That you continuously defend that status quo is abhorrent. I do agree that the host has rights, but it’s also about the longevity of contest, and about what users what the most to give them the best experience while their on the forum.
  4. And until then thousands of American will continue to sit by idly and do nothing about one of the biggest issues in our nations history. It’s frustrating. I’m not safe at the movies, at university, going out to dinner with friends. The first thing I do when enter a building is look for the exits. In the richest nation in the world, with the most personal freedoms, that shouldn’t be a everyday reality. I shouldn’t have to constantly run through scenarios of what I do to survive in places of enjoyment. Our founding fathers had a vision to give everyone “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”; and that simply isn’t the case with easy access to guns. The same people who claim to have guns to protect themselves from an autocratic government, are the same people who support the current government, which is one of the least democratic in our history. It’s also worth nothing that minorities are disproportionately affected by gun violence too. We are honestly the stupidest nation on the Earth. I mean that at this point. I mean how many issues to compound before we have serious problems in this country?
  5. lose enforcement has already caused a few problems in my opinion... Also, as someone who works in communications (and will have a future with in it), going against what people want/voted for, isn’t exactly a great move. Im fine with the host opening it, but this can’t be a 4-5 month thing. No one voted for that. People wanting to constantly go against change and not listen to others is a bigger problem for Totallympics...
  6. It’s definitely been February-April for the 2 times I’ve been on here. (Maybe early May as well)
  7. And LeBron James has played the game well. Also, I agree with a lot of what you say here. Sports becoming business is why I do not watch professional sports myself. All teams should be non-profit, but we all know that ain’t happening.
  8. That is literally the case in every sport in the United States currently. It’s another part of an insanely broken system. Serena‘s didn’t come from a lot. Her dad wasn’t poor, but he wasn’t rich either. Yes, Messi and Ronaldo (more Ronaldo) would’ve been great candidates too (and are more deserving), but it’s worth noting that the AP is an American organization. I don’t think they’ve ever chosen non-American athletes for that honor.
  9. India will not boycott the 2022 Commonwealth Games. They will attend in full force. They also announced their intentions to bid for 2026 or 2030 edition of the games. India is now set to bid for 2026 Commonwealth Games, 2030 Asian Games, 2032 Summer Olympics
  10. Right, but still know him by name. That’s not an accident or mystery. He is definitely one of the most recognizable figures of the decade.
  11. Depends what side of the debate you find yourself on their
  12. I don’t know. I mean Serena and LeBron have really defined the decade in my opinion. Most people know who both of them are. They have both incredible success. They’ve both used their voices to fight for social change. They both came from nothing to be the greatest in their sports.
  13. I thought they were both good choices. Like it or not, they are athletes who defined the decade.
  14. Shooting inside a Texas church, two injured, gunman was then shot because it’s Texas there’s more idiots with guns inside the church . I’m glad they shoot the guy before he killed anyone, but on the other hand, if we are to the point where (multiple) people have to bring guns into to churches and houses of worship for their own safety, we’re fucked as a nation.
  15. The Associated Press has named Serena Williams and LeBron James as the athletes of the decade.
  16. Arguably the comeback of the decade. Though they Swiss comeback gives Krueger a run for his money.
  17. I don’t know if anyone around here is into board/card games, but if you, let me recommend “Coup”. Probably one of the best ever broad games.
  18. I have no clue, and quite frankly, I’m a part of too many projects around here nowadays, but I’d contribute if there was a good idea/format.
  19. Probably my favorite broadcast theme music of all-time: Maybe some good memories for @ofan @intoronto @JoshMartini007
  20. Here’s our first official episode of TWU (Totallympics Weekly Update): https://anchor.fm/twu/episodes/TWU-2-Ending-Out-The-Year-With-Our-Best-Episode-Yet-e9t9tj @Vojthas and myself really enjoyed this one, so please give it a listen whenever you get the chance (on your way to work, in morning, before bed, when you’re bored, when there aren’t enough sports on, etc.) Again, we’d love any feedback you could give us. Also, any suggestions for what we should cover next week. Plus, any ideas for segments or episodes (or of you’d like to come on for an episode and talk with us about something). Lastly, @Vojthas, @Dragon, and I cannot thank you enough for supporting us this year. Admittedly, it’s been a rocky start. However, with your support we’ve been able to build up an awesome website, and a great audio service. I’d also give thanks to @OlympicIRL and @mrv86 for their early contributions to Totallympics Media (and your both welcome back anytime ). Some more thanks are in order to users like @heywoodu @dcro @ChandlerMne @ahjfcshfghb @intoronto @Wumo @zob79 @TomJa @bmo @ofan @Griff88 @JoshMartini007 (and anyone else who I just unfortunately forgot) who give us constant feedback, consist support, and our the main reason we’ve made it this far. Of course, the man himself, @Sindo was deserves a massive, massive thanks for helping us accomplish all of this; without his work, none of us would have meant, we would have never had our own website, and we’d never have had a place to belong. 2019, was a fantastic, maddening, awesome, thrilling, joyously crazy, and thrill ride of a year. For all of us at Totallympics Media: Thank You all for your support and passion. We hope you have a wonderful, blessed, and sport-filled 2020.
  21. Well it’s just that I could think of another “Tito”. Not really looking to have the same name as him...
  22. *Sighs*, knowing that he’ll regret the next words to come out of his mouth because of the chaos they’ll bring: “I like the sprints and mass starts.”
