  1. I focus on flags more than names . I should honestly know more names, but I just don’t. I don’t actually watch a lot of sport outside multi-sports games or world championships. I don’t really have one overall passion. I have a bunch of subjects/hobbies that I’m rather knowledgeable about. There’s also like 150 sports to follow, so it can be a lot. I really do need to get better at watching sports though.
  2. Taxes are the most effective form of population control There’s actually a lot of serious issues that lead to this. I love to praise California, and I believe it is absolutely a land of opportunity. It is insanely expensive to live in the majority of the state however. I do hope we figure out how to solve the homeless crisis, and I hope the state government aims for policies the create the conditions necessary for affordable housing.
  3. Thank You for sharing I do love learning about other cultures. Anyone else can feel free to share their Christmas routines with me too. My family largely lacks culture as we’ve been in the US too long (the US doesn’t really have its own culture in my opinion, people more often celebrate the traditions of their family’s ancestral lands). @Vojthas already educated me on the Polish ways of Christmas too . Out of curiosity, does anyone hide a pickle on Christmas Eve, with the first child to find it receiving a gift? (This may actually be a rare American only tradition) Also be curious to know when people open gifts? (My family does it at sunrise on Christmas morning). Anyways, happy Christmas Eve to everyone.
  4. If you’ve followed any of my reporting, you’d know I appreciate a good judo bout. I’m just not good with names, and I feel like we’ve already established this. It’s also hard for me to remember the names of younger athletes, who I haven’t seen as often. It still is quite shocking her name didn’t ring bell after how dominant she’s been this year. I just can’t believe the world’s top skateboarders aren’t getting any acknowledgement. They’ve achieved much more in longer careers (even though they’re 13-17)
  5. There were less.
  6. Pretty sure I reported on her 2019 European Games medal, and I still couldn’t remember who she was
  7. No, definitely because the federal government is failing. California has issues, but taxes isn’t one of them.
  8. Who’s this Daria Bilodid chick, and why do y’all love her?
  9. And the Napoli 2019 website . Yeah I’d say this year wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t good either. I could have placed my vote as good or satisfactory, but I enjoyed all the multi-sports games this year, and so I went with good.
  10. I made need the services those taxes pay for one day. I think it’s fine that are taxes are high. Our taxes would lower if the federal government did its job.
  11. Everything about this is wrong. That’s all I have to say . Matrix did better because it was one of the best movies and pop culture moments of all-time. Ender’s Games was bad, but it wasn’t bad for the reasons you claim. Asa Butterfield did an amazing did playing Ender (emotions and character were perfect), it was just a classic case of trying to change a good book into a movie. Also if you think Ender’s game is all about battles and action, you clearly don’t understand the original work (though I will agree that the movie focuses too much on the battles and action). For starters Rogue One isn’t a part of this current trilogy. This current trilogy is meh in my opinion. I loved Last Jedi because it focused on a part of Star Wars I love. The best Star Wars content comes outside the original trilogy (that being Star Wars: Clone Wars, Rogue One, and Mandolorian). I became a fan of Star Wars from the prequels by the way. Star Trek is ass. It can happily fuck off.
  12. Interesting proposal @Maxim Fastovsky:
  13. 2018 was an Olympic year with a highly successful Asian Games and CAC Games. There weren’t too many world championships to focus on, and there weren’t a lot of events at the end of the year to taint people’s opinions.
  14. The same organization that has kept those games alive for 125 years through to two world wars, and even before air travel was a thing. While, I agree they make boneheaded moves here and there, this seems a bit undeserved. The Olympics Games, like everything else in life, are an evolving, living event. It seems unfair for the IOC to make changes that reflect the times. While it may not be what you want, it will keep the games living and thriving for another 125 years. P.S - I will say that I would be fine giving them this award for moving the Tokyo2020 marathons, that is by far the dumbest move of the year.
  15. Male sportsman of the year: Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (Runner Up: Alex Cujavante ) Female sportsman of the year: Chloe Dygert Owen (Runner Up: Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce ) Team of the year: US Women’s National Football Team (Runner Up: Springboks ) Junior sportsman of the year (under 20 years old at 1/1/2019): Oleksii Sereda Junior sportswoman of the year (under 20 years old at 1/1/2019): Misugu Okamoto Greatest moment of the year: 2019 Pacific Games (Runners Up: Minsk 2019 , Lima 2019 ) Biggest idiot of the year: Napoli 2019 Website (Runner Up: Sun Yang )
  16. I’m pretty sure half my elementary teachers though I was the second coming of Satan so...
  17. I had it on my phone two days ago. Always check for an app The app functions pretty well, looks like there might be some fun things on there come games time.
  18. That’s the kind of the joke that will get you excommunicated
  19. Time for a new NOC! If it were up to me, should just give citizenship to refugee athletes and allow them to compete for them. Of course they’re are a few members of the Vatican who are athletes too, so just a suggestion. I glad the Holy See will finally have a Team after being the only country not to have one for years.
  20. With the potential consequences of climate change, it seems rather dumb to put your capital next to a river. Besides that glaring issue, it does look a lot like the layout of DC. I do love some of the things they want to do architecturally though.
  21. Whelp, that’s in my search history now. In California, Raiders fans have a reputation for being absolute assholes. They’re notorious for peeing on opposing teams fans, beating up people in the parking lot, leaving their sections a complete mess, etc. I will say that the best thing about being a Lions fan, is that I never have to worry about the post-season since that’s a completely foreign concept to us
  22. Yes, just volunteers for now. Tickets will probably go on sale in 2026. Good luck, probably a higher demand than Tokyo.
  23. In 2017-2018 they launched their volunteer platform. They gave everyone a year to volunteer at one event, in their name, and those that did now have priority when it comes time to choose volunteers.
  24. I will admit that studios inability to come up with new IP right now is incredibly annoying. At least the new trilogy told a new story. It wasn’t Lion King: This Time Prettier or something other shameless remake.
