  1. Speak for yourself but I liked (not loved) the prequels, and this trilogy. Rogue One is probably the greatest Star Wars film of all time, and Clone Wars is one of my favorite television series. Star Wars was always meant to be a cinematic universe. That’s why we started with episode 4 dummy.
  2. I would classify this year as good. I really enjoyed all the winter sport world championships. Crashed Ice had its best season ever. The 2019 Winter Universaide was a great way to start off a year of about 20 multi-sports games. GSSE was good, but not as great as San Marino 2017 in my opinion. The European Games were absolutely delightful once again. Really enjoyed working on the daily podcast for Minsk. It was a special time for sure. The Pacific Games were awesome. Two weeks of highly enjoyable sport, and very good livestreaming. African Beach Games were a success. The African Games were a failure. All of the summer sports world championships were enjoyable. The 2019 Pan American Games were enjoyable. It was my first games as a full journalist, and that was a terrific experience. World Beach Games were an outstanding success. I enjoyed tracking YOG qualification. I’ve been watching more and more sport as the year progressed. This year, I went from fan to journalist. Totallympics Media is probably one of my biggest achievements, and I’ve enjoyed covering a multitude of events for our website. I’m really looking forward to 2020. I’ll be attending my first Olympics in person, and I’ll be visiting Asia for the first time.
  3. Well might as well throw this day away . Woke up to “The Nazis” being the number 1 trending thing on Twitter. Really don’t want to know why, just going fast-forward through today.
  4. This is a great thread idea though. I’ll look for some stuff
  5. Enjoyed it more the second time #doublepost
  6. Fuck, I have to do work
  7. Where is the collection? I don’t see much.
  8. It wasn’t terrible, it didn’t suck. It gave a acceptable ending to the trilogy. The special effects should win an Oscar. Overall 8/10. There’s your spoiler free review courtesy of Olympian1010.
  9. Seeing the new Star Wars in two hours time. I’m really worried that I’m going to hate it. I write a full review later tonight, I’ll put it all under spoilers, so that I don’t completely ruin the movie for anyone.
  10. Review of the year from one of my favorite Internet personalities: I’d say that as a year 2019 started out very promising, and the summer was really one to remember, but the back 1/4 of the year has been pretty bleak in my opinion. Hopefully that’s not a sign of what to expect in 2020. 2020 is looking to be a great year, with fun and joy all around, so let’s just fast-forward to the end of the 2019, and roll credits into 2020 already.
  11. @Wumo I’d be willing to help out with a 2020 YOG Prediction Contest. I’m not great with tables in forum, but I can work a spreadsheet and whatnot.
  12. Lausanne2020 is claiming that 79 NOCs have officially announced they will participate in the games. By my count, that is an overall increase of 9 NOCs from the last Winter YOG. I believe that every NOC that qualified to the games chose to participate, but I’ll have to wait until final entries are confirmed to check that. The following NOCs will be making their Winter YOG debut: . In the last 4 years, we’ve really seen Pan American and Asian participation in winter sports grow, and while the majority of that is thanks to immigration and heritage, there are some great grassroots programs working to identify young talents that could become winter olympians one day. On that ground, are worthy of commendation as many of their athletes are home grown, and have been giving the opportunity to travel and train for their respective sports. I think this YOG may show that there’s an even greater hunger for winter sports internationally, and I’m really looking forward to a great games at many venues that could classified as traditional homes to many of the sports on the program.
  13. Happy Hanukkah to all of our Jewish users!
  14. Which would make sense since you don’t need to hide posts for any other reason. It should work in the test thread as well.
  15. That’s because y’all don’t want to offer them any help. Their more likely to survive if they move to Skid Row, and other tent cities. The state does need to fix this problem, but Republicans hate rent control, public funding, and raising the taxes; all of which are necessary to fix the problem.
  16. We’re really getting the pop culture grand finale of the decade this week . I mean really, it’s not that hard not to do stupid I shit on your phone .
  17. Good luck recalling Newsom. He may very well be president one day. I a bit surprised he didn’t enter the 2020 if I’m being honest (same goes for Brown). California is essentially on its own at this point. I think we’ve reached Texas/New York status. I’m happily Californian before I’m American. GOP doesn’t win in California because we’re all land of values, dreams, and hopes.
  18. What a decade . I’ve seen 70% of the films in this montage. There’s a few notable exceptions that I hopefully get the time to watch soon.
  19. Doesn’t mean shit in California. We give our 53 electoral votes to “Not-Trump”, and then we continue being a thorn in the side of the national government. We’re like if Scotland was a state at this point.
  20. I wouldn’t be surprised if the California primary is a close race between Biden, Sanders, and maybe Warren (I could honestly see Yang doing well too, but that’s a very long shot). California is a place where Sanders/Warren will find a lot of support as Democrats in the state are pushed farther and farther left by the current national government. I still think California favors a moderate liberal, but the state (as well as the West Coast (Oregon, Washington, Nevada)) is definitely moving further left as the national government continues to fail. The mass exodus of conservatives from the state is helping too. As much 30-40% of people who left the state in the last five years cited being conservative as their reason for leaving. I’m actually quite interested to see the results of our primary (I think Biden will win, but Sanders/Warren will definitely give him some pressure).
  21. I’d say Bernie Sanders is mildly popular in SoCal . Also a glimpse at one of the potential surfing site for 2028 (beach is behind the crowd)
  22. Well according to multiple US media companies, she already won the whole tournament so...
  23. That would be correct . Those with vpns can enjoy though. It’s a fun montage of light hearted moments.
  24. Well will most likely get an easy ticket to the Olympics... The only slider that could knock him out would be the guy from
