  1. Just watched a replay of the race. Miller coming through for bronze was awesome! Commentators said he lives in a part of Namibia so remote that he had to build his own course to get some proper race training completed. Course wasn’t my favorite, but the crowds were great. Both races were reasonably enjoyable to follow.
  2. Alfred gets a medal
  3. First time since 1990 that none of the medalists in the men’s 100m are from the Caribbean.
  4. Omanyala becomes the fastest man in the Commonwealth. Abeykoon snatches the bronze!
  5. That men’s 4x100m medley will go down as one of the highlights of the Games. just out touch
  6. Wiffin will go home with silver came into Birmingham with no swimming medals at the Commonwealth Games, and is now set to leave with three (I believe).
  7. fails to qualify for the men’s 100m final do though. Should be one of the highlights of the Games.
  8. Crazy finish from Eseme . I did not see him making the final after the heats.
  9. Perrinne gets a bronze Two medals for in judo.
  10. I quite like squash. The women’s bronze medal match was very entertaining.
  11. Judging seemed a bit dodgy here as well. It is a great spectator sport with great universality though. The sport just lacks so much integrity after the doping and governance scandals.
  12. Damn, Feuillet and Petgrave went for the same throw in golden score, and Pergrave won out. was so close to a gold medal.
  13. joins the medal table with a bronze in judo.
  14. Perry and King into a fifth game for the bronze in squash. A tale of two different matches really. Perry did well to rally back in games 3 and 4. All to play for in the decider.
  15. gets another medal Stowers picks up a silver in weightlifting
  16. Mansell and Debe have been lapped, so looking a max of 5 finishers I believe.
  17. Bridson out of women’s cross country after a crash. A real shame. I had some small hopes she might sneak into a medal position if the girls at the front came into some difficultly. Richards running away with it at the moment.
  18. Just watched the replay. Happy to see them back on the podium
  19. gets the first sweep on the track. I’m not sure if three medals will be awarded since there were only 6 athletes and 2 countries represented…
  20. These family/team celebrations in athletics have been wonderful tonight
  21. KJT finishes the day with 1010 points. Obviously a direct shoutout to me
  22. with their 5th sweep in swimming. Titmus gets the GR in the 800m free as well.
  23. Kiplimo with a GR in the men’s 10000m. Great kick to finish that one off.
  24. The last three (at least) Olympic gold medalists and current world champion in the men’s javelin are from the Commonwealth. There are definitely weak events across the Commonwealth though.
  25. Still one of the my favorite moments from Tokyo. I don’t think we’ll ever see eye to eye on that one. Kennedy got over at 4.60m by the way. I believe she’s going to make an attempt at the GR.
