  1. Excited as always My main thought was "alright, only 18 countries in the women's race and apparently no wildcards for anyone, that's decent news"
  2. Cheer for getting away with it?
  3. Unfortunate, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm looking forward to Thursday evening, when the team captain's meeting is over and we have our very first World Cup start list of the season. Always a cool moment to see who's there and everything
  4. Today I unpacked some of the boxes in which we have put my way too many books to move to our house, and I came across these beauty's I hadn't seen for a while Absolutely recommended, tough to get for a decent price, but they are such an interesting read with lots of very interesting little stories! Still looking for at least 1900, 1904 and 1906, but not really in the right moment to spend money on that now, so the wait goes on
  5. Which I guess is part of why unfortunately 'our' first wild card attempt of the season was rejected last week
  6. December is probably going to be focused on either Italy/Austria or Norway, but the plans are still being made as we speak. Renting a car, driving from the Netherlands down to Italy, finding accomodations and help with preparing the skis and all that...trying to make it as an independent 'solo' athlete is...hard I can't go and help out, because we got the keys to our house (finally) and there's lots of work to be done there, so it's all happening at the same time and the mind is getting crazy (for both of us)
  7. Any idea where a full schedule can be found yet? I remember last seasons the website was always godawful in terms of providing that basic kind of information..
  8. Some good news: Matt Gaetz is out from his position as attorney general, basically two months before he'd even start.
  9. Not really a tense finale, as expected, but still with Martin and Bagnaia there's always the tension hanging around of one of them possibly just crashing suddenly. Didn't happen though and Jorge Martin is the new MotoGP world champion!
  10. Happy birthday mate!
  11. Imagine being the UEFA/FIFA official tasked with burning his hands on this never-ending fire Go for a home match without fans for both Romania and Kosovo and then get on with life.
  12. It was assistent coach and former player Adam Szalai. He was brought to the locker room to rest up a bit, and then was taken away by ambulance, but without much haste: other than being somewhat groggy, it seems like he was getting better.
  13. Looks like the person has been taken away, hopefully in relatively ok condition, and we're continuing the match.
  14. Things have gone horribly wrong in the Netherlands - Hungary match. Someone from the Hungarian dugout started shaking and becoming very unwell, CPR has been or is being performed and the match has been suspended for a while now. No idea yet who it is (player, staff, no idea).
  15. First ever Brazilian global senior winter sports podium and it isn't Braathen
  16. World Cup podium for Nicole Rocha in Pyeongchang Start order made a massive difference, to be fair, even more so in the second run, but still
  17. Looks like the schedule in Sjusjoen has moved up, NRK now showing the women's sprint to start at 11 instead of 09.45
  18. Even inside Finland, I think? I checked Yle's schedule this morning, but couldn't find anything anywhere, at least for today's sprints.
  19. That has already been announced though She is aiming for Trondheim 2025, then probably goes back into retirement (then again, who knows, with the Olympics only one year away then).
  20. Apparently Talakhadze is going into politics, huh. https://iwf.sport/2024/11/11/lasha-out-of-world-championships-and-into-parliament-weightliftings-biggest-name-must-choose-sport-politics-or-both/ Quite a time to do so, in Georgia.
  21. That's not the point though Nobody caring about 'the pandemic' doesn't mean there can't be another pandemic, and apart from not wanting that anyway, we should absolutely want that even less with an antivaxer at the head of a health department.
  22. Timetables for Idre: https://www.skidskytte.se/folj-oss/nyheter/nyheter/2024-11-12-folj-sverigepremiaren-i-skidskytte Start lists and results should appear here: http://live.skidskytte.se/ And indeed on Eurovisionsports and I assume Swedish TV as well. Gonna be fun!
  23. That'll be in a few weeks I think.
  24. Thanks, I always forget the name of the season opening in Sjusjoen, but yeah, Sesongstart it is Idre will be the easy one for me to find probably, @brunamoura is there right now and her coach will compete tomorrow, so getting some info on start times shouldn't be too hard
  25. Do you happen to have the full program for the ones in Sweden and Norway? Somehow I can't find them, which is probably on me, but still
