    What an awful camera work this entire event Last race didn't even have the finish camera at all, and the others that did had the camera at either a very weird angle or without clearly showing the line

    For men, a spot in the top-27 on the Olympic Golf Ranking at the date decided by the international federation is enough, for women this is a top-24 spot. For positions 28-59 (men), one top-8 (counting 2 players per NOC) is required in one of the mentioned events in 2023 or 2024 (but said events aren't mentioned anywhere in the qualifying document, so...no idea). For women, this is required for positions 25-59. @Dragon I assume you meant Luiten and Van Dam, now that I think about it.

    Ugh, really curious what his excuse is for missing three (!) tests in a year. Did he pull a Rastorgujevs and write his address down as 'Italy' or something, only to be surprised they couldn't locate him?

    The ICC's main prosecutor is going to try and get arrest warrants against Netanyahu, defence minister Yoav Gallant and three Hamas leaders, including Yahya Sinwar. Not likely that it will lead to anything, but who knows.

    The videos appeared last night (it was dark in them) and did sort of seem like 'isolated' things (like some person shooting one or two things in the air), not mass events, so I guess it's what you said

    And now since her injury earlier this year, Laura Smulders doesn't seem to have 'it' for now. Of course it is BMX though, there's always going to be tons of potential winners, even more so in the men's event

    I wonder what the general reaction among Iranians is. The only thing I've seen on social media is people celebrating and fireworks and stuff (but that may of course also just be random old videos), but you know, hard to find everything when you don't speak a single word of the Iranian language I assume @MHSN has a better view on that.

    Still significantly safer than cars, overall (but to be fair, I'd have to get over a bit of a bar to get into one as well ) I think it also depends on where in the world one would fly in one. Like, there's places where I'd barely feel safe driving over a bridge....

    Helicopter with Iran's president has gone missing. Talks about anything from a hard landing to a crash, 2 hours without any contact with Raisi or his team, and the dozens of search teams are hampered by awful weather.

    No fall for Sakakibara, she started decently, but got swallowed up in the first turn and basically was out of it from then on. Pajon fell indeed, Shriever fell but was already out of contention when she did.

    Any idea where one can watch? Again one of those federations that show all the regular season action, but then for the big event nothing is to be found on their channels...

But go ahead and believe that if it does make you feel better Radical left, radical right, radical religious, as soon as someone is radical one way or another it's just not good.

    Nah, because that somehow suggests the 'left' has lots of lunatics and the 'right' doesn't, but let's be fair: both sides have lots of lunatics who are very much willing to pull bullshit like this. Anyhow, for now the more important thing is hoping that a democratically elected official survives the hit.
