  1. Just in case it is a serious question: no, 600 is the race distance in miles Your suggestion would go well with Nathan's Hot Dog Contest - still planned for early July I think.
  2. ONE 66 in Myanmar (yesterday was ONE 65 apparently), later today some Bellator 195. Still on my list are yesterday's Formula E irace and The Race All-Stars eSeries at Indy, today it's only DTM and F1 Monaco as virtual races....and the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte tonight
  3. Yeah, nice weather here didn't help neither earlier this week
  4. Interesting as that sound, the bigger thing that I had missed is that Wengen is apparently in danger That would be terrible.
  5. Toyota 200 (NASCAR Xfinity) Last night it was ONE 69 or something (January 2018) and today also Bellator 194 and later of course some virtual racing again
  6. Yeah, Pertile had pretty much been following Hofer's footsteps everywhere he went for the entire last season as final preparation for taking over
  7. This sounds potentially interesting from a betting perspective, although there are no odds yet and one can imagine bookmakers will know this as well by the time odds are being put online, sadly
  8. I'm hoping they are, behind the scenes, thinking about a smaller season with competitions held within one or two nearby countries. Probably not feasible, but theoretically it might be possible to have two parts or something, one half of the season in Germany/Austria/Switzerland/Slovenia (if these countries agree, but since some borders are opening up, it might be possible), followed by something like RAW Air in Norway only. Not too much back and forth travelling should be at least a little helpful.
  9. Oh boy, the ski jumping classic in Beijing! I can't wait!
  10. I've always been mostly caught up with Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl and now Batwoman, sometimes a little more caught up than other times, but now I'm at 100% for those shows....time to turn my attention to season two of Black Lightning, I had finished season one and then didn't watch anymore (season three has already finished). After two episodes I realized why I didn't bring myself to watch it, I think it's pretty high on my list of worst shows ever in terms of characters, general story and acting (especially by the lead character) At least I find the overall premise sort of fun enough to keep watching it when wanting some light entertainment instead of something too serious/good To be fair, the whole DC shows thing isn't too great, with all kinds of nonsense stories (apart from the whole superhero thing, you either like or don't like that, it's besides the point), but still enough to be entertaining even though it's mostly always a repetition of events
  11. Are those first two trying to imitate Gervinho?
  12. Good luck following in Kigali's footsteps
  13. Reminds me of some dude in a strict church here in the Netherlands, saying in his letter (to children!) how this whole coronavirus thing was basically our own fault for making God angry. Right. I'm still glad my only experiences with Brazilian Christians are positive: of course my own girlfriend, and when I was in Brazil and joined her for a church service there, it pretty much all sounded good and fine even for me as a firm non-Christian. It was mainly about how it's important to stay true to yourself and do good not because the Bible says you should, but because you actually want to do so. Like, don't go and help someone because then you get some heaven credits or something, but go and help someone because your honest intention is to help said someone. Of course, that's only one service, but still it was a positive experience
  14. Airbus A320 with a little over 100 people crashed at landing in Karachi, apparently into a residential area... Barely an hour ago and the worst of the worst kind of scum has already raised it's head online.
  15. Lol. Anyway, I can't remember the last time I cared much for who wins the World Cup, it's just about watching nice competitions
  16. That made me go back to my childhood and notice something terribly sad Apparently Bury FC, founded in 1885, doesn't really exist anymore since last year...at least with no league membership, and they're at risk of just being absorbed into nothingness https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bury_F.C. For a good while in my young years I followed all their steps....because in FIFA 20xx I played with them so insanely much Played at Gigg Lane when they were founded in 1885, still played there last year. Nothing like what those fancy teams do, breaking down historic stadiums to put up their fancy but soulless sponsor-stadiums.
  17. Oh! I saw that one in a video that was about US football songs
  18. Tell that to any professional cyclist ever who's gone on Alpe d'Huez during the Tour de France. The Dutch fans usually are just cheering and yelling, they luckily don't really have some cheesy chants or songs (anymore)
  19. "Let's go on a little creative journey. From basically trash, to....?" Anyone having any idea what it's going to be?
  20. I highly doubt anyone here is disagreeing with that, and with 'fair line of work' I think the main point was it's a fair line of work for people who actually choose to work in said line of work (I can hardly imagine, but they exist), of course not people who are forced into it. My 2 cents, and meanwhile, @hckosice or someone could probably move this whole thing to the General thread right after the post about Klishina (which was still athletics-related)
