  1. Also, the water in the Red Sea - and a majority of other seas - is apparently red.
  2. Thanks! For now I might just put it in my own agenda on a day by day basis, like just a thing at the end saying "Check today's results" instead of every match, but this will definitely be useful.
  3. Are there any full schedules for ice hockey and curling yet? The official website is useless since it either goes to that simple calendar thing that says "yes, there is ice hockey on day X" or enters a loop where clicking on 'Schedule' brings one back to the home page, and on Wikipedia things are still eerily empty
  4. Yeah, and it shouldn't be too hard. One doesn't even need to go with a full-scale top level production for everything, but at least a few cameras along the cross-country track or something isn't too difficult. Last week we were watching a Continental Cup cross-country skiing event in Oberwiesenthal: nothing fancy, but there were a few cameras and that made the races be watchable, that's all we need...
  5. Well, too bad they have the same content, but Eurosport's player and overall system is WAY better and more user-friendly than the Olympic Channel things (both in terms of finding things, and at least having basic hotkeys for forward/backward/pause), so at least I'm happy I have a good alternative
  6. Oh absolutely, for Wengen it's just unfortunate in this case and if downhills are cancelled, of course they should try and replace it. But Kitzbuhel's downhills are both not replacements, are they? Usually the FIS website would list that, like they did for Wengen, but for Kitzbuhel they didn't.
  7. The only thing I heard is someone on a Dutch forum saying "apparently he has an open fracture on his right leg, according to Mario", but I have no idea who Mario is (the Dutch ES commentator and the duo on German TV both aren't called Mario as far as I know), so yeah... no idea where he got that from
  8. Jack Crawford didn't hold his nerves too well it seems, unfortunately (but understandably, always difficult when you have to wait half an hour).
  9. German commentator (and co-commentator Marco Büchel) are angry about there being two downhills both here and in Kitzbühel. Both because it might be too tough on the athletes, but also because it devalues the classics: there should be one Streif winner, one Lauberhorn winner, it becomes less special if there's more of them.
  10. Step 1: he's conscious and apparently talking.
  11. Sarrazin trying to destroy the Canadian Corner
  12. That was one of the very best downhill runs in a long, long time, unbelievable
  13. Holy smokes, that was some Odermatt magic in the Kernen-S
  14. First time in forever that my eternal hope for Clarey is definitely not going to work out anymore Paris would be awesome, or a good old Winnerhofer, but yeah, unlikely
  15. Here we go with one of the big highlights of the winter, Laubernhorn downhill
  16. Oh come on, why do these events always show a billion curling matches and not show stuff like biathlon or even sliding sports for which you only need a handful of cameras We're still a week away and I'm already so incredibly disappointed
  17. No way today's result should count towards the final standings, with so many top athletes not being able to compete simply due to airlines messing things up. Seems like Nika Prevc got lucky and had her things right on time, but all the Canadians were simply screwed. Best solution would be for the competition to be held as normal, of course, but not counting towards the final standings. That way, it's still a perfectly valid World Cup win, podium and so on for those who get those results, but those whose stuff is missing aren't punished.
  18. Is Hungary's B-team (as I read here) so strong that they still defeat a presumably A-team from Serbia?
  19. Yes, but not often, since I generally just skip them and check the final results only
  20. Typical that Ireland just picked a random pub somewhere in the city and called it a day as far as the search for an Olympic house goes
  21. I do like team events, as long as they add a team element Personally I count relays with physical contact in that list as well, like indeed the short track relay but also athletics relays and, alright, swimming (since actual physical contact as means of exchange doesn't work of course, but they do stand as a team instead of separate entities). Not like the godawful mixed relay in road cycling, where the men and women regularly don't even see each other the entire day of the race....how is that even remotely a 'team' thing
  22. Why, though? There is like literally zero teamwork in it...skeleton is inherently an individual sport, simply adding the times of two individuals doesn't really make it a team thing
  23. It's a link to Breitbart, the website that is as much related to journalism as McDonald's is to haute-cuisine dining
