  1. Rumours saying Jepchirchir received support from her team in places where that wasn't allowed.
  2. BBC commentary team has claimed Paternain's medal
  3. Assefa sprinting: slightly increases her speed by 0,3 kilometers per hour.
  4. For the second global championships in a row Let's see if Assefa is a bit faster this time.
  5. Apparently Paternain is mostly British, but still, a first ever official Uruguayan medal would be awesome
  6. Paternain Very much on her way to a medal
  7. Oh, so you're old?
  8. Ingebrigtsen Boht a surprise and no surprise at the same time.
  9. Koech goes down
  10. But that's what I mean, that makes no difference if you don't have obligations like work, school or family life, because then you can simply adjust everything to the American times If it's possible, for LA I'll simply sleep from roughly 11:00 to 18:00 or something and follow my regular daily routines...just with everything moved up by 9-10 hours
  11. Habz out
  12. It's all a matter of planning. I've found it quite easy for Rio, Pyeongchang, Tokyo and Beijing when I 'simply' changed my daily routines to fit those times (breakfast in the Asian morning, dinner in the Asian evening, and sleeping in the Asian night, and so on). Of course the biggest challenge for that is whether or not you have the opportunity for that in terms of obligations (be it school, work, family life, etc). I'll certainly arrange my vacations in time for LA, but who knows what circumstances have changed in my life to make it more challenging then
  13. Why do they always plan the out-of-stadium events so incredibly bad, in such a way that we get to see in detail the less interesting part, and then when it starts to explode, we're going to some random hammer throw qualifying attempts and a few running heats... Like now, women's marathon is really heating up after 1,5 hour of not much going on, aaaaaand we're going to the stadium.
  14. If needed, I use the one that's part of my Norton subscription, but for these championships it's not necessary
  15. The opposite, they don't flop around at all...look at Ando, not even moving her arms
  16. And no second Sifan Hassan for us
  17. Yuka Ando has apparently been doing it for years and found it to be the most effective way for her Sadly we don't see it as much in the 5k and 10k anymore now, a few years ago they all did that
  18. Japanese 'arms tight along to the body' running style
  19. Yes, so there it is more a matter of timing it than responding. I'm never gonna be in favor of a system where you can legitimatelly start after the beep/gun/whatever, but still get considered a false start
  20. From not wanting to be alive anymore (after Olympic gold and all the pressure that came with it) to world champion 9 years later, phenom
  21. Yeah, for the 4x100m it's more of a problem to have it like this. I also don't really mind what exactly the order is, as long as it's a fixed one in which everyone has the same. I also like what I believe they have in biathlon: one week it's MMWW, the next week it's WWMM, so it's not like countries with a superbly finishing man or woman always have an advantage (which is of course more relevant in biathlon than in a 4x400, but still, it's also just fair to give both men and women chances to finish the race and have a shot at that big final 'glory').
  22. That's at least better than 0.1, since yes, there are people who can react faster than that. I'm still in favour of the most honest system though: if you do not leave before the gun goes, your start is valid, no matter if it's 1 second after the gun or 0,001 seconds after the gun - after the gun is after the gun. And yes, people are going to take extra risks then, that's up to them.
  23. Definitely the 3x Fabbri or Battocletti, since I'd much rather see my favourite country being strong in a variety of events than having one single superstar. Which is not in any way negative towards Duplantis, obviously, but if these are the two options, that's the choice I'd make
  24. At least after the first few events where they had it (junior worlds and such), they understood - unlike in swimming - that you should at least have a fixed M/W order...whatever one's opinion on this event, it is at least not difficult to follow (unlike, again, certain mixed swimming relays).
