    Was trying to compare how we are doing compared to 2016 but could not locate the same thread ( though i remember seeing it for 2016 ) so where would i find world championship medalists for 2016 ?

    Nice pretty happy to see 2 indians in the medal rounds ...... both Sai and Sindhu were unexpected ...... Sai has been in form but to reach the semis was always unlikely and Sindhu is a big tournament player but to beat Tzu was going to be tough ..... her third world championship medal really hope she can make it gold

    finished 5th in womens ( 11 pts behind the 3rd ranked americans ) despite 2 golds due to some inconsistant performance in the middle weights but sonam is surely going places she is a remarkable girl wrestler , reminds of the impressive deepak punia in the cadets

    Sonam in womens won Indias first Gold .....her straight second gold in the cadets so she seems to be a name for the future ........ 1 finalist Ponam still there and 2 in the bronze - keeping the fingers crossed

    At the cadet world championships India finish 3rd at the end of the freestyle with 4 Bronzes Sonam is definately going to be a superstar of the future for India as she wins her second straight gold in the womens , I hope India finish in the top three in women as well

    We seem to be in two finals in the womens category and alive in 3 bronze / repechage .....so hoping for a good finish from our women

    India did well to finish 3rd ........ good achievement ........ Though no real superstars ..... I really thought anirudh did well in the 110 Kgs , may be coming up also is udit in 48 Kgs he looked very young .....

    Completely agree , I have been watching wrestlers like deepak punia right from Cadet wrestling days and now he is now making waves , deepa came out of nowhere to almost win us a medal in Rio so let us focus and applaud athletes like Bhawani who are really making waves in a sport as unusual as fencing

    Sajan has shown great promise in breaking his national record twice here in 200 and also 50 so hope with some further movement upwards he hits the OQT in one of the three backstroke events

    But that really helps ?..... actually for some reason i find the pistol pairs appealing but do not find the rifle pairs as appealing ?

    good analysis ......why not sonia lather or simranjit kaur for the 60 Kgs........ I think they would be a good bet ....I think sarita though fiery is not the best bet ......... others are fine though I think lovlina is a brave boxer and possibly has an edge over . Basumatry ...... sonia chahal is the obvious bet for 54-57, pooja and mary kom are automatic choices for me
