Though we cannot take these world cups as the last word . ( some stronger shooters may not be shooting who have already qualified ) . i feel that 4 medals as possible

In 25 m we have won only one quota ..... so we need to try to win one more ..... hence we cannot have manu or rani shooting while in 10m rifle women and 10m rifle we have won both quotas

yes she shot 629.1 in MQS , she would have been in the final with that score

wow ...... what a finish by valarivan ...... and she is the 3rd best shooter of India and probably we may end with 1,2,3 in world ranking in 10m rifle women .......................... again a great start for us in this world cup

yes you are correct , they seemed to have changed it now ......

if you are not interested in Tennis , Rowing or Judo that is your choice , But I feel even if we qualify in some of these events that is a big improvement ....... In fact I found that we have improved a lot in Canoeing - C2 and K2 .......... when we come to asian games these may have some hope of a medal ( we finished 6th in C2 in 2018 ) and for me that will be significant ...............

50 M three positions has been the bogey man for our pistol / rifle team .....but sanjeev shot really well in the eliminations though he finished off the qualification level , but with the qualifications tomorrow I have a feeling he may get into the finals

Actually India doing ok in canoeing world championship ..... for a sport where we are nowhere..... was impressed with canoeing men where in C2 we finished in 12 , 13th in a couple of categories ...... sunil salam and gaurav tomar may do well at the asian level

Actually i would be a little more optimistic in both boxing and wrestling ...... i feel we have many other good wrestlers coming deepak punia in 86 ( ranked 4th ) , some of the women like pooja , divya and seema ( ranked 3rd ) are all prospects so 2-3 in wrestling and in boxing we currently have 3 world medalists in olympic category so i feel 2-4 in boxing is likely - mary , lovlina , neeraj , pooja etc are all good prospects and in men amit , gaurav , shiva etc so i feel 1+2 seems likely ..... but shooting 5 i feel is unlikely and i think 3-4 is likely apurvi and saurabh are the most likely ...... men’s badminton singles may be 0-1 ...... my most likely is 9 but with max of 15 ...... min of 6

I know very little about this sport but if India finishes in the top three in asia in any canoeing event do we have a chance to qualify - how is the continental qualifiers arranged

archery I hope we can be 3-3 ->6 ( the womens team qualifying in the qualifiers ) atheletics I think we may come down to around 10 men and 10 women which will keep us at around 20 , substantially less than last time Badminton I think 2 men and 2 women in singles and mens doubles and maybe mixed doubles taking us to 4-3 so less than last time Boxing 4-3 seems doable golf 2-1 ->3 hockey hopefully 16 +16 - the full 32 gymnastics I do think 1-1 can qualify judo 1-0 rowing possibly 2 in double sculls shooting another 6 so 13 swimming I am really hopeful we may have a qualifier in the A standard and Srihari seems to make that possible table tennis 2=2 tennis only mens double 2 weightlifting 1+1 wrestling 4 Free men , 3 free women , 2 Greco -> 6+3 ten add a couple of qualifiers in equestrian and fencing and may be yachting , so may be 115 approximately same as last time may be +- 4-5 so my best bet between 110-120

Was trying to compare how we are doing compared to 2016 but could not locate the same thread ( though i remember seeing it for 2016 ) so where would i find world championship medalists for 2016 ?

Nice pretty happy to see 2 indians in the medal rounds ...... both Sai and Sindhu were unexpected ...... Sai has been in form but to reach the semis was always unlikely and Sindhu is a big tournament player but to beat Tzu was going to be tough ..... her third world championship medal really hope she can make it gold
