Well today we did not win a single bout ... .........i hope we can do something better tomorrow ..... my more realistic goals for India now is maybe that uzbeks and iranians get quota places tomorrow ....... may be allowing us to squeeze a quota or two at the asians

Both double trap and running target were Asian Games events last time around

Good to see duryodhan has also crossed the first round ...... if i am not mistaken that means all eight boxers have reached the round of 32 ....... each of them now need 3 wins to reach the medal round .... the draws have been kind so hoping for at least 2 to reach medal rounds ( out of the lowest 3 weights and ashish in 75 )

10M rifle Women 6 out of 8 in the qualification were exceeding the qualification mark in Rio 25M pistol only Rahi crossed the lowest qualification score

Shooting trial analysis 3Position Men with the highest qualification score being 1164 ....we are in a pathetic state ( the Rio qualification for the final closed at 1175 ) and 1164 would have been a pathetic 40th or so 10M rifle 6 out of 8 in the qualification round were higher than the final qualification score ....so lots of talent and I am sure we can do well at the asians

I agree with you as a general statement ....... China Has a series of great shooters across every event ( barring mens skeet ) and possibly the jostling for positions may be higher than any other country generally but in specifically Womens 10M Rifle ( and Mens 10M pistol to some extent ) ...... the competition to get into the Indian Squad is currently brutal ..... We have in the ranking 1,2 and 3 ........ and also shooters 4 and 5 are not getting intot he squad but Mehuli and Shreya possibly be in top 5 as well given an option

This is the slowest world championship I have ever seen , this will be the 4th day beginning and Indian Boxers have been in grand total of 1 bout

yes but ronaldo is still a junior so hopefully would do well

yes they weer strong in 2016-2017 , 5th in the olympics ........ but recently 4th in the continent ( beaten by Chile !!!! ) and then 14th in the world cup .......They have been terrible and had a horrible couple of years ( I hope their horrible run continues till the end of the year

Look the problem as per me are that the atheletes/ teams were major hopes after 2018 have not improved at all , rather have detiorated ...... the best teams were the 4*400 relays , neeraj , hima , dharun , toor and arpinder and not one of them have improved....... the second rung of atheletes have improved

I think AIBA is a class apart and honestly I thought wrestling relatively clean ?

I really saw a turn around in badminton at the world champs ..... let us hope the atheletics people are able to turn things around especially in the relays and at least break the NR ...... I am so tired of stupid hype - India wins 5 golds ( in some pathetic competition ) , hima wins 5 gold medals in a row ( without coming below a pathetic 53 ) ..... what a waste of money - they spent 70 lakhs on this european tour of events

Seriously do not see any hope of even a top 10 performance given current form ........ best bet may be dharun or 4*400 mixed to reach top 10 which may be best we can hope for ........... i hope a few of the others can beat their PB or maybe the NR

I think world boxing , world wrestling , world weightlifting and womens boxing in early oct are crucial ......... atheletics seems in a bad shape ...... no good results this year till date - neeraj injured and hima has been having back issues , the major improvements in the national records - i remember jinson - 1500 m., annu rani - jav , sable - 3000 sc and dharun - 400mh ..... i think only dharuns was in the top 20 this year so dharun and unless some miracle by javelin shivpal to improve pb but his recent throws have been pathetic .,,.... did the relay teams make it ?
