  1. Some questions: 6 medals at most in luge? 2 medals at most in skeleton? 5 medals at most in bob? Where do you expect a second medal in snowboard, apart from womens parallel slalom? 3 medals in alpine skiing? Did you miss the injuries of Neureuther and Luitz? You are very optimistic to see a chance for a medal in cross-country skiing.
  2. Decent result on the mens side, although Friedrich still seems off. 2 golds at the olympics will be decent for Germany, but i hope for 3, would be great to see Jamanka doing it. Not sure what a black german athlete ever won a medal at winter olympics.
  3. You seem upset ... Surprised to see that someone can get that emotional for short track european championships ... More importantly: Anna Seidl is completely stalling, what a shame, i had such high hopes for her ...
  4. 1) Womens super-g/downhill is a complete mess this season without Vonn/Fenninger/Gut in top shape. With Vonn, Fenninger, Gut and Weirather in top shape, Shiffrin never would have gotten close to a win. I really hope that those 4 share the 2 golds at the olympics: My dream would be 2 golds for Weirather or 1 gold for Weirather and one for Fenninger. 2) Another great result for Germany in a speed discipline, Dreßen is really becoming someone to be reckoned with. Germany has already one win (Ferstl in super-g), one third place (Dreßen in downhill) and now one 5th place, all of those results were completely unthinkable even 12 months ago. This is especially promising, because Dreßen still is relatively young (compared to Jansrud, Svindal, Feuz, Fill and so on).
  5. That is one way to look at it ... the other would be: If a sport with 10 events gets 8 questions, a sport with 5 events should get 4 questions, otherwise the contest isnt really "balanced", a third way to look at it would be: All sports should get the same amount of questions, so that someone who is a biathlon expert doesnt have an advantage over someone who is a skeleton expert (if there even is someone like that, just an example).
  6. Ok, thanks. I missed the fact that it was PSL. Non-olympic events are normally not taken too seriously, its the same in alpine skiing parallel slalom. I wondered why Ledecka didnt compete, but i think she finished 5th or something like that in womens downhill training, so apparently that was more important for her than competing in the PSL, although i think both events took place in Austria, so probably she was just too lazy to compete in both ...
  7. 8. Did anyone follow snowboarding parallel slalom today? The results look pretty weird and apparently many big names were missing.

  10. I agree. I would be happy to provide the questions if no one else already signed up for that.
  11. 2015 slopestyle world champion and 2017 X-Games big air champion Lisa Zimmermann will miss the olympics as well. The 4th great (gold) medal prospect that Germany has lost already, i dont think that any other country was even remotely as unlucky as Germany, but nothing new ... At this point german fans should probably consider themselves lucky, if any german athlete will be able to compete at the olympics.
  12. 1) Please speak for yourself. If your interest in a sport depends only on one athlete, you cant be helped. 2) Freestyle skiing might be many things, but certainly not boring. 3) She has tons of olympics ahead of her, no reason to make a drama out of a 10 year old not qualifying for the olympics.
  13. I am very sad that Hannawalds record was equalled, although i am not too surprised. I dont think i have ever seen ski jumping in such a bad state, there are basically only 3 guys who are in shape (Stoch, Kobayashi, Freitag) and if one of them gets injured and the other one is Kobayashi, you are almost bound to win every single competition. Today it was surprisingly close, if we take Freitags record in Bischofshofen into consideration it is pretty likely that he would have won today. Soon nobody will care, but for now we have to accept that winning all 4 competitions was much more difficult for Hannawald than for Stoch. I hope that soon Prevc, Kraft and so on will be able to compete again, otherwise this will be a very boring season.
  14. Did i miss something or why are you mentioning Germany as a contender on the mens side? In my opinion even Switzerland is more likely to take the third place, although i think its something like GB 60%, Russia 25%, USA 14,9%, Rest 0,1%.
  15. I follow ATP very closely, but ok ... it seems that you have a need to insult people all the time. Of course Zverev hasnt done anything in slams + he doesnt have a great shape, but i wouldnt say that he lost to nobodies. Last year he lost against Nadal at the AO, Raonic at Wimbledon, Coric at USO and Verdasco at the FO. The loss against Coric was disappointing, but i wouldnt call Verdasco (especially on clay) a nobody, although Zverev still should have won. My point is: It is a new season, so who knows what will happen? Krygios and Zverev are very young and can explode anytime (for example like Ostapenko last year at the FO) + Goffin seems to be in a great shape and ended the last year in a great shape as well. Who thought at the beginning of 2016 that Kerber would win 2 slams and become world number 1? Who would have thought at the beginning of last year that Zverev would win 2 masters or that Dimitrov would win the world tour finals or that Grandparer and Nadal would each win 2 slams? That is the great thing about the AO, its the first slam, so almost anything can happen. Edit: Kyrgios just beat Dimitrov to reach Brisbane final, why do you think that he is injured?
  16. 1) This event is senseless 2) Amazing time by Herzog, but this is only the beginning. I said about 2 years ago that she would win 2-3 medals (possibly gold) at the next olympics and i still stand by that, although her last season was very disappointing. Excited to see what she can do at the double distance, where she is normally stronger. 3) I am very surprised that Erbanova was so far back, normally she should have been sub 38 too. I thought that she would win silver or gold.
  17. Very weird to mention Tsonga, Dimitrov, Cilic or Del Potro but not Zverev, Krygios and especially Goffin. When Roger and Rafa are fit, they have a 90-95% chance to win it, unless Djokovic/Murray/Wawrinka compete.
  18. Show some respect please, Dimitrov has a negative h2h against Zverev and despite Zverev not being ready to win a slam, he has won more masters than Dimitrov and surely has a better future ahead, so calling him a mickey mouse star is absolutely unjustified.
  19. I hope that this wont be your decision, because you are clearly more than biased, so this decision should not be up to you. Edit: Just because a sample turns up negative, doesnt mean shit, how often did Armstrong's samples turn out negative? If you are even remotely smart, you will never have a detectable amount of PED's in your blood during a competition. If you are smart, you take a long break after the olympics, where no one controls you and then you suddenly turn up dominating everyone else (as a 40 year old). If you do that again and again, then people might begin to see a pattern ... or not.
  20. I never asked you to ... If you believe that she is clean, there is no reason for you to stop watching this sport. If you dont believe it, it should be very hard for you to see her stealing medals again and again and if not, you clearly have become insensitive to injustice, which would be very sad.
  21. Please, let me be more precise: I will not watch biathlon again (of course you cant control that anyway) + not write about biathlon on this forum again if this person wins a medal at the olympics, even if she retires. There is only one thing that would change my mind: If she gets caught and stripped off her medals, i will follow biathlon again. She has stolen enough medals already and i know that my behavior won't change anything, but unlike most other people i haven't become completely insensitive to injustice. Considering that millions of african people are dying every year of hunger, while most people have nothing better to do than crying about which new computer/smartphone to buy, i am aware that i am completely lost here. People don't have principles anymore, they just want to fit in, because it's the easy way.
  22. Freitag was a lock to win this, but then he got unlucky (crash, Stoch again had better wind today ...) and didn't perform at his best. Stoch seems like a very nice guy, so congrats to him, although i hate someone winning twice in a row, so i hoped for a different winner and Freitag was the only one who had it in his hands to beat Stoch, everyone else (norwegians, Prevc, Kraft) is just too weak right now. Sad that the tournament was again decided by bad luck, but you can't really blame the jury today, it was Freitag's own fault. Considering how strong Stoch was again, the tournament would have been over anyway, so losing the tournament isn't so bad, i just pray that he will be at his best at the olympics, he deserves it and it would be absolutely unbelievable if Germany would have to compete at the olympics without the two best athletes in alpine skiing (Neureuther and Luitz) and the two best athletes in ski jumping (Freund and Freitag). The only positive thing is that Germany has 4 athletes in top 8 even without Freitag and Freund, with them it would probably be 6 german athletes in top 10.
  23. I agree, with this landing Stoch never should have gotten more than 17.5 maybe 18 points.
  24. The fact that Kuzmina is still allowed to compete proves that god doesnt exist, otherwise he would never allow such an injustice to happen. If she wins a medal at the olympics i will quit biathlon.
