    Very good (for Pechstein) or sad (for Achter...), depends on who's side you are on, but i guess given all of them are dutch, they will probably still find a way to medal.

    Congrats! I really like how positive you are, it was so close to a medal, but i understand it, given her season so far + the fact that Fourcade will probably win 15-20 golds here.

    4 years ago the dutch won only 1 medal in this event, so are we on track for 25 dutch medals at least? Given the russian absence in men's 1000/1500 m, they should probably shoot for 30 medals. Come on, i know you can do it!

    I wouldn't be so fast. Sablikova is out of shape and no one else was expected to beat them. Let's see how the other competitions go. Edit: Reminds me of GB in track cycling ...

    Hopefully, De Jong not winning a medal would be a scandal. I have never seen her without her cap on, so i am a bit speechless now ... if this would be a beauty contest, she would have set a world record easily.

    I think we can assume that it will take sub 4 to medal, so bye bye Pechstein. After seeing Dufter, i would be surprised if Pechstein would skate even close to 4:00.

    I watched biathlon on ARD and now i switched to Eurosport and was shocked to see that they don't broadcast ... why? They buy the rights for the olympics, sublicense it to ARD and then ARD is the station that shows the most important competition of the day? Doesn't make any sense to me.

    Noooo, Wierer clearly lost her nevers, with 0 she would have won gold. Dahlmeier winning gold is bad for multiple reasons.

    You can never expect gold, but Wierer winning gold would be very ok with me, she deserves it and Italy deserves it.

    Save energy for the other competitions. By running your lungs out, you might win a medal in pursuit but destroy your other medal chances, by chilling, you improve your medal chances in the individual and the mass start.

    I think Wierer or Vitozzi will win gold today, congrats, much better than Kuzmina winning it.
