  1. Neither Bailey ... could someone please tell me what position J. Boe is in? I bet 10 points that no athlete who finished 21 or worse in the sprint will win a medal in the pursuit, but now i am afraid ... No we reached the point where i would be sad if Peiffer wouldn't win gold.
  2. I think he can do it, but for sure he will be in a very good position for the pursuit, so he will gold there at the latest.
  3. Bailey or Schlesinger will win gold, mark my words!
  4. Very surprised to see a german in the final, good job!
  5. Even i am a bit worried. If Ukrainians would shot like germans shot so far (on the womens side 4 misses, 2 of them by Herrmann so ... and one by Hinz who just choked, on the mens side 3 misses, 2 of those by Lesser and Doll with their last shot.), i would probably have called them cheaters by now ...
  6. What the fuck is going on? Lesser and Doll probably threw away a medal with their last shot, but i think Peiffer might medal today.
  7. I still have Kleveland as favorite in the big air + the japanese and i agree about Gerard, there has been talk about him for years. He might not be the White/Hirano kind of talent, but also no one-hit-wonder.
  8. So the biathlon expert has spoken, your knowledge is really quite impressive, tonight you were already the one who acted as if he knew Gerard for years. Gonna be interesting to see your results at the prediction contests.
  9. Yeah i know, he was one of your medal favorites, sorry that i forgot it. How much did you bet on him?
  10. Doll could have really defended his world title from last year without that miss, but of course only if Fourcade would have missed at least 2 ...
  11. Boe was so bored all season long, that he wanted to make it interesting for himself. Two questions: 1) Are the norwegians drunk? 2) Who the hell it Otcenas?
  12. I misunderstood you, i edited my comment, everything's fine. Mayb if they would plan the competition times in a way that would be better for the locals, we wouldn't have to complain about the number of spectators so much.
  13. So the norwegians are wearing dutch jackets and the canadians are wearing norwegian uniforms (in snowboard slopestyle) ...
  14. Edit: Sorry, i think i got you wrong. Europeans certainly had an influcence on the schedule but in the end the US had to sign everything off, because that's where the money is. I am sure german/french tv asked for a much later starting time in women's giant slalom, but guess who had the last word ... (look at the starting times and then look what time it will be in the US then).
  15. In german TV Sven Hannawald also said that Hula's second jump was much worse, i think he said that his ski came too agressively towards his body shortly after the take-off. I think Stoch was better than Hula in most training, so i don't quite understand why you are so surprised? People now calling ski jumping a lottery just have no clue, this is not like biathlon where complete no-names can win with unfair wind conditions. In the end Wellinger was the best in the qualification and many training + the two norwegians were always contenders for top 6. I had the feeling that Stoch got worse with every jump on this hill, very strange, let's hope that he can turn it around at the large hill. Kubacki got unlucky, but i think overall Hula got unlucky, so i wouldn't say that Poland was betrayed or something like that. Of course we will never know what Kubacki could have done, so i understand polish anger, but i absolutely don't understand how people can call Freitag a lucky winner. I think Poland will win silver/gold in the team and at least one medal at the large hill, so probably everyone will calm done very soon.
  16. Not at the winter olympics, but women's modern pentathlon at 2016 olympics for example: 1) Australia (Oceania) 2) France (Europe) 3) Poland 4) Germany 5) GB 6) Ireland 7) Italy 8) GB 9) Kazakhstan (Asia) 10) Mexico (South America) So now we know which sports are the most competitive at summer and winter olympics ...
  17. heywoodu was spot on with his prediction, congrats! He even knew that Pedersen would be 0.002 behind Bloemen ...
  18. Holy shit! Best moment of the games so far for me!
  19. We are on pace for another dutch sweep ... Edit: Blockhuijsen messed up the dutch sweep.
  20. I agree, i just learnt that he lives in Germany and trains in Inzell most of the time, so i cheer for him. Maybe he can show everyone that Germany can still produce world class speed skaters ...
  21. Really? You knew him only because of the olympics or even in advance? There has been talk about him for years (since he was 12 at least), but i didn't think that someone who normally doesn't follow snowboarding would know about him. Gerard wasn't out of this world today, but you should at least acknowledge that his creativity today was on another level. I think he was pretty much the only one who seemed to have put a lot of thought into how he wanted to seperate from everyone else. I think this was Canada's best and maybe even only good chance for a gold medal in snowboarding, so i understand their disappointment.
  22. What happened to Kotzburg by the way? That's probably why i am not a huge fan of slopestly, we have new names all the time, there is not so much consistency at the top + most runs look the same, especially the second part of every run, they should design the track in a way that gives the athletes more freedom to be creative.
