  1. "Starts to wonder" ... really? Have you missed the entire season? This kid came out of nowhere to completely dominate overall world cup, it's beyond ridiculous, even for norwegian standards. I think they panicked when Sundby and Johaug got banned, so they experimented with a new guy, which gave us the joy of Klaebo.
  2. Yes, i think it's a huge mistake to not nominate him, until the last run he was much faster than Ludwig. Add the fact that the german coach, who made the decision, is his father (Norbert Loch) and you get a really remarkable decision.
  3. 20- The podium of at least one event will feature only countries associated with the Alpine Region (Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Slovenia and/or Switzerland). [YES - Men's alpine combined] 31- The Men's Sprint will see a medalist who finished 21st-30th in the Qualification. [NO] 59- South Korea will win all 8 Gold Medals. [NO]
  4. Thanks, feels good to be on top. Looking at my other predictions, i am sure that this will be the last time.
  5. First Loch threw away the gold, now Hüfner threw away the sweep. The luge events have been hugely disappointing for Germany so far. Given the fact that Germany won't win a medal in skeleton, the sledding events can be summed up as huge disaster already.
  6. I think it will take a very long time before that will change.
  7. In case it hasn't been mentioned by now: Felix Loch won't compete in the team relay, it will be Johannes Ludwig.
  8. Incredible that a completely talentless athlete like Eitberger won a medal, must have been the material. If she would compete for any other country she probably wouldn't have even reached the finish line.
  9. Very happy for Pat, but very sad for Tim-Kevin. This is clearly more comeptitive than on the women's side, despite I-Pod and David not being here. Interesting that of the 3 medallists from 2014 only one made the final. Out of the 12 finalists from 2014 only 2 made the final here.
  10. Someone quoted Fill earlier that in his opinion the conditions weren't unfair, so your argument isn't working (i hope you get why ...). You are new, so it's not your fault that you don't know much about this forum, but normally when you come to a new place, you first observe and try to understand the situation, but clearly that doesn't seem to be your style. If you would have bothered to do some "research", you would have known that me complaining about Kuzmina had nothing to do with how the race went today (i even said that i would prefer Dahlmeier and Kuzmina both not winning a medal over both winning a medal, so the "until it went the way as you pleased" part sadly is complete nonsene, it never went the way i wanted ...), so your second point is also nonsense. Your argument basically is that i shouldn't complain about a certain person complaining all the time about everything, because i also complained about something ... makes sense. I don't want to say much about the "11-year old" part, that style of discussion is just childish/for people who have no point. I hope you learnt a bit about how to talk to other people/how to observe properly, this might help you in your daily life.
  11. Maybe they could introduce a rule in the future that the running time of the downhill has to be at least twice as long as that of the slalom or that the best after the downhill can start first in the slalom, otherwise this event is often very unbalanced in favor of the speed athletes.
  12. I think this will be my first perfect prediction of the games, not sure whether i got women's ski jumping right. Very hard for speed athletes today indeed.
  13. Just for the fun of it: How exactly is this the same? (Very interested to see what you will come up with this time )
  14. It's crazy that this board is called "Totallympics", but most people on here only seem to complain all the time, instead of just accepting that they can't change anything and that after this they will have to wait two and a half years for the next olympics. One person in particular does nothing but crying about every result. In the two last trainings Svindal was 0.07 and 0.40 ahead of Dreßen, when the race was 20 seconds longer. Now he was 0.07 behind despite having a big mistake, but yeah ... he must have lost a least a second thanks to the unfair conditions ... Of course no one here noticed that basically everyone was faster than Dreßen from the start to the first intermediate and from the last intermediate to the finish, but yeah ... that must have been because Dreßen just wasn't good enough. Crazy how so many people are able to collectively switch off their brains at the same time.
  15. Do you really think that the wind had any influence on the eventual medallists? Do you really think that Hirscher should be much more than 0.2-0.3 s ahead of Hirscher on a course like that? Even if Hirscher and Dreßen both would have been 0.5 seconds slower, than what exactly would have changed? Gold/silver still would have been between Hirscher and Pinturault and bronze probably between Schwarz, Aerni, Muffat-Jandet and maybe someone else. The speed guys never had a medal chance today.
  16. I think it's stupid to draw anything from the training runs, the course is completely different + (as Dreßen said before the race) the snow conditions completely changed (much more agressive), but i see that you are not willing to talk about facts, so why not save us both some time?
  17. Svindal wasn't much ahead of Dreßen in training + Svindal had a big mistake today, i don't think it's out of this world to think that Dreßen might just have been better today ... Even if we say that the wind changed, it can't have been more than 0.2/0.3 seconds of a difference. Do you think that Svindal would have been 1 second ahead of Dreßen on this short/easy track? Even before the competition the Eurosport guys said that the conditions today are more in favor of Dreßen than Svindal, because Svindal is much more agressive and that doesn't work very well with the snow conditions today.
  18. On this course it isn't that surprising that Hirscher is so close. It are only about 80 seconds and it looks more like a Super-G. If you want, i can search for results of previous combined events, i am sure that Hirscher/Pinturault being about 1.25% slower than the top time happend before.
  19. Yeah ... Dreßen, who won Kitzbühel, being 0.07 ahead of Svindal, despite Svindal having a huge mistake, is a complete miracle ... and now for Innerhofer the wind must have suddenly gotten much better again ...
  20. The question is whether people who are angry now really watch the race ... Dreßen won the most difficult race of the season, then Fill, Mayer and Svindal all make huge mistakes here, but people still can't believe that it might just have been a great performance by him. Innerhofer almost with a new best time, i guess the wind suddenly got much better again ...
  21. I see, you are just disappointed, so i will forgive you. Italy has still many medal chances, don't give up just now!
  22. I really like this course, i think they should use it on thursday too or even better just use today's results as official downhill results, given that it would be too dangerous to send everyone down a second time.
  23. I don't get it to be honest, this seems to be the most boring day (at least so far) for me ... No biathlon, no ski jumping, no nordic combined. The day will be over around 1 pm european time.
