  1. 1) Correct 2) Must have been 1968!
  2. I am so happy for them and especially Aljona! I don't remember the last time i cried during a sporting event ...
  3. I liked the chinese performance more from an artistic standpoint. I think the female chinese skater showed beautiful landings, except for that one instance.
  4. Wow ... epic competition!
  5. The level is insane, must be the best pair skating competition ever?
  6. I think apart from the 2014 olympics, this score would have been enough for gold most of the times. Was there ever a competition, where this wouldn't have been enough for at least silver?
  7. I think this will be bronze, russian and chinese are cold like ice, no way they will make a huge mistake.
  8. What a freaking horrible day for Germany already, this could be an historic disaster.
  9. 2 questions for the experts: 1) When was the last time that a german finished top 10 in the downhill at the olympics? 2) When was the last (and only) time that a german finished ahead of all austrians in the downhill?
  10. Completely agree! In addition to being the best, they also have the advantage of a (slightly) better course, it should be the other way round.
  11. My prediction was Svindal ahead of Feuz and Reichelt ...
  12. Did i miss something? The race is far from over ...
  13. That was my problem with Dreßen's run, it looked absolutely flawless, which normally means that you don't have enough speed.
  14. Now we will see what his run was worth!
  15. Yeah, almost as bad as that of Moelgg ...
  16. I am really sad that Dreßen will start first, after the first 5, the medal dreams will probably be already over.
  17. Wow, great atmosphere at the track! Apparently half of the korean people are currently there.
  18. Germany is in the lead! Probably the only time i will be able to say that in a snowboarding event at the olympics.
  19. Top 3 results of the korean guy in 4th ever: All this season: 7th place in Igls 11th place in Park City 16th place in Whistler Last year his best results were: 1 x 16th place and 1 x 24th place Interesting information: He began this sport in his second year of university ...
  20. Why do you say that? 2-8 will fight for silver and bronze. I think it will be between Dukurs, the british guy and the russian guy. Not sure whether the british guy can handle the pressure anyway.
  21. Yes, he probably would have won anywhere, but it didn't have to be such a snoozefest. He will probably be so far ahead before the last run, that he can walk down the slide down the track on his ass and still win.
  22. Normally yes, but the top 5 are just too good. No way that she will win 0.5 seconds or more against Moelgg or Shiffrin. USA will win it's first gold outside of snowboarding today. Just sad that this was her last giant slalom race at olympics. Who would have thought 8 years ago, when she won gold as a 20 year old, that this would remain her best olympic result forever?
