  1. On this course it isn't that surprising that Hirscher is so close. It are only about 80 seconds and it looks more like a Super-G. If you want, i can search for results of previous combined events, i am sure that Hirscher/Pinturault being about 1.25% slower than the top time happend before.
  2. Yeah ... Dreßen, who won Kitzbühel, being 0.07 ahead of Svindal, despite Svindal having a huge mistake, is a complete miracle ... and now for Innerhofer the wind must have suddenly gotten much better again ...
  3. The question is whether people who are angry now really watch the race ... Dreßen won the most difficult race of the season, then Fill, Mayer and Svindal all make huge mistakes here, but people still can't believe that it might just have been a great performance by him. Innerhofer almost with a new best time, i guess the wind suddenly got much better again ...
  4. I see, you are just disappointed, so i will forgive you. Italy has still many medal chances, don't give up just now!
  5. Are you there or how exactly do you know?
  6. I really like this course, i think they should use it on thursday too or even better just use today's results as official downhill results, given that it would be too dangerous to send everyone down a second time.
  7. I don't get it to be honest, this seems to be the most boring day (at least so far) for me ... No biathlon, no ski jumping, no nordic combined. The day will be over around 1 pm european time.
  8. Congrats to France! If they won't win gold here (Muffat-Jandet is probably the favorite), then they only have themselves to blame.
  9. I have no hope, i just hope they call it off earlier this time, so that i don't have to wake up for it. Eurosport commentator today was pretty sure that the race would take place, but who knows, maybe he just wanted people to turn on their TV ...
  10. I agree, russian athlete was cheated, the german athlete got lucky with the wind.
  11. Looks like a mother with her two kids ... she taught them well today.
  12. She is german, that is enough for him.
  13. I just saw that Anna Seidel made the 500 m quartefinal (didn't even know that she competed in this event), could some expert please tell me whether she has any chance to advance/is there something like a repechage in case you are eliminated? I think Christie and Boutin will beat her, unless they crash? Should we expect the following results? Quartefinal 1: Fontana and St Gelais advance Quartefinal 2: Christie and Boutin advance Quarterfinal 3: Kexin and Prosvirnova advance Quarterfinal 4: Choi and Chu advance How will the two semifinals be put together? Athletes from Quartefinal 1 & 2 -> Semifinal 1?
  14. I can't believe that the Netherlands have more medals than Germany, what a horrible result for Germany again, same as 4 years ago. I assume we can be sure that the Netherlands will sweep men's 1500 m tomorrow? If they do that, they could finish tomorrow with the same number of golds as Germany (assuming that Germany wins women's luge) if they win a gold in short track, so do they have a realistic chance for short track gold tomorrow? I just saw that Schultzing was eliminated already in women's 500 m, which is very surprising, so is there anyone else who could win a medal for them?
  15. Shit, horrible result. Someone please take a closer look at dutch speed skating and while you are at it please also look at GB track cycling. Thanks! Takagi was robbed sadly ...
  16. Don't see that happening, i would say she is the least likely, maybe except for Preuß, to medal. I hope that Hammerschmidt will get a chance here. Weren't you a fan of Andreas Birnbacher? He is an expert for Eurosport (at least today) in case you are interested ... Congrats to the 13th place today, i wish Germany could get a surprising result like that sometime, it feels as if no german athlete ever positively surprises (for example Loch completely choked).
  17. I think another female german athlete will win a medal in one of the relays ... Don't worry Herrmann will win the individual.
  18. Frisch ahead of Eitberger ... maybe we should have given the third place to her? I predicted bronze for Britcher, but i guess that won't happen ...
  19. My problem is that the team result is basically only an addition of the individual performances, right? Maybe it's a bit hard to express, but in other team events it's more like a relay, where your position depends on the results of your teammates. For example in biathlon relay you have to start with a disadvantage of x seconds if your teammate finished x seconds behind the leader and then you have to overtake athletes ahead of you and you probably feel additional pressure by having to overtake the athletes ahead of you, so it's a different situation every time, but in the figure skating team it doesn't really seem to be like that. Don't get me wrong, i think this event is more competitive than luge relay and figure skating is far more popular than luge, so it's is only fair that it has more events, i am just not sure whether the team event is really a fitting "format" for figure skating.
  20. Congrats, i think you will win 3 medals and probably a gold. I am very sad that Germany won't win a medal in skeleton, i think Hermann and Lölling both would have deserved a medal and Germany would have deserved a gold given the last couple of years, but obviously it won't happen. I guess GB winning the gold is ok too ...
  21. You don't think they will win a medal in men's skeleton. I guess Korea will win gold and the british guy looks very strong too, but apart from that i don't see anyone beating Dukurs.
  22. I know ... it was a joke. She probably isn't even top 5 ever on the women's side + Björndalen, Fourcade and probably some others on the mens side are also better.
