Now that both the 2023 and 2024 World Championships are over, it's a good time to look at which countries are eligible for universalities. Looking at the entry lists for both championships, we can compile a rough list of which countries are eligible.
 
The following NOC's are eligible for both a male and female universality quota (123 NOC's, 246 athletes):

The following NOC's are eligible for only a male universality quota (20 NOC's, 20 athletes):

The following NOC's are eligible for only a female universality quota (16 NOC's 16 athletes):

 
So as of now, we are looking at 282 universality athletes from 159 NOC's

Daniel Wiffen!!!!!  

I've a lot of updating to do on the qualification tracker! I am assuming I should go ahead and count the swim relay quotas for now and revise it if we don't qualify the requisite number of individual athletes to make up the relay squads. Would you all agree?
The women's medley relay squad already have 2 qualified athletes so they should be good anyway. I think the men's will be fine also but we might have to sweat it out to see if a couple of our guys will be high enough up the rankings to receive invitations in their individual events.

I've been daring to believe Wiffen could do something big in Paris for a couple of years now but this is really beyond my wildest dreams. Hopefully he can replicate his performances here in Paris but I imagine the opposition will be even stiffer there. Still though, going to celebrate this remarkable achievement for what it is.... 2 gold medals is insane

I've been daring to believe Wiffen could do something big in Paris for a couple of years now but this is really beyond my wildest dreams. In the end South Korea didn't join us this time, but in answer to your question, TISC Open 2015 was the last time we had 3 debuting nations: Algeria, Moldova and Portugal joined the fold on that occasion.
 
Significantly though, Albania and Guatemala are our newest debutants since Israel joined back in TISC Annual 2020. It took 4 years to find a new debutant so it's great to have them here
