  1. Incoming less than 10 gold.
  2. And she must wait 2? years to represent Japan. I think the smart thing to do is have Klimkait or Deguchi move up a category, especially if CBP retires
  3. I got Canada's directly from the CGA It is very tight. No clue how they will do it... Judo usually sends a B team, so maybe they might not compete in the sport all together. Id also expect B teams in Athletics and swimming
  4. As in Deguchi is going back to Japan or retiring? Any word on Guica?
  5. Canada can only enter a max of 130 athletes (minus para sport) across these sports at Birmingham 2022: Athletics, Aquatics, Badminton, Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics, Judo, Lawn Bowls, Squash, Triathlon, Wrestling These sports are open qualification: (3x3 Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Hockey, Netball, Rugby Sevens, Table Tennis, Weightlifting, Women’s Cricket, and all para events). For 2018 these were the total of the above sports Athletics: 36 Aquatics (including diving): 42 Badminton: 8 Boxing: 7 Cycling: 18 Gymnastics: 13 Judo: NA Lawn Bowls: 10 Squash: 2 Triathlon: 6 Wrestling: 12 =154 (excluding judo), so that means for 2022, the team must cut 24 quotas from the above sports. Insane, there is literally no where cuts make sense, not sure how they will do it
  6. Sorry the last part cut out for me. It was supposed to say FINA ended up calling it beach water polo to distinguish it from the version at the Olympics. At the 2019 world's, the demonstration event was held at the competition venue for the Olympic discipline....with the court being formed to the 3x3 shape etc.
  7. It's an urban discipline... shorter pool and less people playing at a time.
  8. Kata sounds very beach too me
  9. This is the only explanation really.

  11. @heywooduCanada does not keep active licenses with the FIS during the summer, which is why the quota simulation shows as 0 eligible athletes. This will change when its renewed in the fall.
  12. National Bank Open presented by Rogers ... what a way to squeeze even more sponsorship dollars.
  13. More info on Beijing 2022 qualification, including times: https://www.isu.org/inside-isu/isu-communications/communications/25971-isu-communication-2407/file
  14. Canada's moron of a pm has called an election on September 20, years head of schedule.

  17. Yea, I can't see the IOC being very hard on the FIG, after all its one of the big 3 sports.
  18. Well now we know why: https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/report-nhlpa-advising-players-not-play-olympic-qualifiers/
  19. Canada's team is less than half of 2018
  20. Yes, another dumb decision by FIBA
  21. The ISSF asked for a 16th event (mixed skeet)...but the IOC did not approve adding events (even though it fits with their policy). So somehow the IOC decided that skeet for 2024
  22. All 10 teams have arrived. Hockey during the Paralympics lol good thing they didn't schedule it during the Olympics because it would have confused some that hockey is held during the Summer Olympics.
  23. JOC gave approval... I think it's the front runner and SLC for 2034.
