I don't speaks about Italy, we sent some youths in the team event (two from 2003, one 2000 and one 1999). When i speak about format I speak about all the quality of the event, i don't care if it can be good for Italy or not. 
I don't know if you saw the event, i hope not for you, but the two mixed dive routine was really poor regarding quality.
Btwz, I agree at 100% with the drop of the limited coefficient dive, I hope that a day this will happen in all event.

In fact, I prefer this format for the team event. It allows each diver to perform better in their "individual" event.
 
In the past, when it wasn't rare for divers to compete both in springboard and platform, the format used at World Championships could have worked, but now most medal contenders focus in one or the other.
 
Nowadays only Woo Haram and Schleiker perform both springboard and platform, and I can't recall a competitive woman that does both.

It's been a great summer on the forum in terms of activity with June and July both entering the top 10 in the "Posts Per Month" ranking.
July 2019 broke new ground, as not only was it the highest ever total for the month of July, it also places 3rd all-time in the "Posts Per Month" ranking, setting the record for highest post total for a non-Olympic month.
June 2019 places no.8 on the "Posts Per Month" list.

I actually think they were underscored on that final dive.  It was near perfection on execution and synchronization.  But whatever, doesn't matter.  

It's gold for Canada, unless they too crumble, which I really doubt.

As I said last night, they should play Canadian songs after the Canadians as they are with the Americans (heard "Born in the USA" earlier, for example).  The only Canadian song they played was Informer by Snow, but it was after the Dominican guy.  They did play Call Me Maybe at the baseball field, though.
