  1. 44.15 for Doom in the men’s 400m! PB & NR
  2. 2.17m in high jump in a DECATHLON is just nasty Skotheim Still not done yet.
  3. Murto out of the women’s pole vault final at 4.58m
  4. Moser down to a 3rd attempt at 4.43m in the women’s pole vault final Edit: Still in!
  5. Why wouldn’t they try both? Its not always about good results at the Olympics, qualification is also HUGE.
  6. Historically speaking, I’d normally feel good about McIntosh’s chances of winning double gold in the 200IM/400IM. Now, not so much… And we still have US Trials too…
  7. Artistic swimming team announced! https://olympic.ca/2024/06/10/team-canada-artistic-swimmers-set-to-make-a-splash-at-paris-2024/
  8. Agree somewhat, but not really. Yes, I’m hoping he finishes a full decathlon and doesn’t get injured again. But him competing at this event leaves a bit of a salty taste in my mind given the circumstances (how he got awarded a wildcard through the French Federation)
  9. Entry list is out for the Edmonton Athletics Invitational Audrey Leduc, Sade McCreath, and Jacqueline Madogo in women’s 100m. Lauren Gale, Zoe Sherar, Kyra Constantine, Madeline Price, Grace Konrad, and Ella Clayton in women’s 400m. Madeleine Kelly, Aurora Rynda, Addy Townsend, and Jazz Shukla in women’s 800m. Mariam Abdul-Rashid, Tatiana Aholou, Aaliyah Logan, and Michelle Harrison in women’s 100m hurdles. Sage Walker in women’s 400m hurdles. Sarah Mitton, Grace Tennant, Liv Sands in women’s shot put. Jillian Weir and Kaila Butler in women’s hammer throw. Anicka Newell, Alysha Newman, Rachel Hyink, and Heather Abadie in women’s pole vault. Malachi Murray, Eliezer Adjibi, and Duan Asemota in the men’s 100m. Austin Cole and Myles Misener-Daley in the men’s 400m. Marco Arop and Abdullahi Hassan in the men’s 800m. Craig Thorne in the men’s 110m hurdles. Malik Metivier in the men’s 400m hurdles. Adam Keenan, Rowan Hamilton, and Jeremiah Nubbe in men’s hammer throw. Django Lovett and Noel Vanderzee in men’s high jump.
  10. Other semi notable results. 3:35.63 for Kieran Lumb in the men’s 1500m 1:46.7 for Zakary Mama-Yari in the men’s 800m 2:01.5 for Shukla in the women’s 800m
  11. Matti Erickson with a HUGE PB of 1:45.74 in the men’s 800m at the Portland Track Fest!
  12. Ellie Black and Aurelie Tran secure their spots on the Canadian Olympic squad for women’s artistic gymnastics through the Canadian Championships, as the top two all-around finishers.
  13. Ugh. defeat 3-1… We’ve already qualified for the Olympics, but I still want to grab as many points as possible for seeding purposes.
  14. Luburic is so good, damn.
  15. Well this isn’t going well for 12-3 run…
  16. Maybe Athletics Canada will gather our strongest runners at Olympic Trials to try and record a qualifying time, but it’s quite unlikely IMO.
  17. Canada’s men’s team tied FRANCE (yes, France!!) 0-0 in a pre Copa America friendly earlier today!! Signing Jesse Marsh might just have been the best thing Canada Soccer have ever done. Edit: I will add that this was a French A-team. Canada created some solid scoring opportunities too, it’s not like France was controlling 90% of the match. @George_D
  18. Wait huh? tied 0-0 in a pre Copa America friendly earlier today!! Best result ever for Canada’s men’s national team I would think?
  19. Gold medalist in the women’s 3000m steeplechase Pinot DQ’d for stepping over the track line. French Federation is appealing. New podium: Gürth, Bird, Rutto. French appeal is successful, and Pinot gets her gold medal. @Bohemia @Benolympique
  20. 4th for Van Der Weken No first ever women’s medal for Luxembourg at a European Athletics Championships.
  21. Favourite Irish athlete and isn’t in the favourite athletes section of your bio?
  22. Next thing you know, the whole Championships is going to get appealed
  23. Not yet updated on the IJF Olympic Ranking site, but I’m pretty sure it’ll be confirmed by the next update. Calculations were made by @Pasolini
