  1. Watching game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final right now. I know pre-season the Canucks weren’t even expected to make it to the playoffs, and they made all the way to the Western Conference Semifinals, but watching it I wish the Canucks were here. We had a 3-2 series lead over the Oilers… Can’t complain too much though, it was a great season for us, and I believe in our potential for an even deeper run next season. Although Zadorov, Lindholm, and Joshua are asking for unreasonable contracts so we might have to let them go Anyways go Panthers! Get Luongo his first cup! (and fuck the Oilers )
  2. 3. Might be one to watch for at the US Olympic Trials, 21.83 (and of course another WL) in the final.
  4. CANADIAN RECORD ALERT!!! Savannah Sutherland absolutely DEMOLISHES her previous PB (and NR) set in prelims, with a MONSTER 53.26 in the women’s 400m hurdles the NCAA Championships!
  5. Olympic standard for Elena Kulichenko in women’s high jump, with a PB of 1.97m at the NCAA Championships! (competition is still ongoing so she could better that mark) Edit: Rose Yeboah, and Temitope Adeshina also reach the standard!
  6. Nickisha Price with a new WL of 48.89 in the women’s 400m at the NCAA Championships! First sub 49 clocking of the year.
  7. Canada defeat United States 3-1 in match 6 of Men’s VNL, to improve to 4-3! United States didn’t play Defalco, but they’re still a good team without him. Stephen Maar was easily the player of the match, but Lui made some good digs as well.
  8. WOO!!! beat 3-1! Always a good day when we beat our fellow rivals
  9. What a horrific serve by Averill Miles out, I think it almost went to the moon Crowd BOO’s it. I think that tells you all you need to know.
  10. Defalco with the steely eyed glare from the sidelines
  11. Elite 16 in Ostrava going on right now. Mol/Sørum with a PHENOMENAL comeback during the first set in the quarterfinals against Immers/VDV, they were down 3-13, and 6-15, but somehow still managed to win the set 7 blocks from Mol during that set Think that clears up any of my doubts about Mol, after suffering an injury in Tenerife a couple of months ago. Norway is going to be a medal contender come Paris.
  12. Timely Hofer substitution on set point leads to an ace, as we go 2-1 up Well, even with no Defalco for US, still surpasses my expectations for the Canadian team.
  13. She’s Elkasevic now
  14. Is there a full list of all the players that have been invited somewhere?
  15. Marcel-Jacobs wins gold in the men’s 100m in 10.02. Ali wins silver in a new PB time of 10.05. What a fucking joke.
  16. They won’t do it because he’s Italian.
  17. Wonder if we’ll be seeing Defalco in the 2nd set…
  18. Let’s be honest, with a field like this he wasn’t going to lose.
  19. No chance we’re beating so best case scenario is taking 1-2 off of them Anything more than 1 seems unlikely.
  20. 13.05 in the men’s 110m hurdles for Simonelli! PB & NR! Italy having themselves a great home Championships so far.
  21. SAMBA-MAYELA!!! 12.31 for gold, and a HUGE NR
  22. Samba-Mayela. What a cool last name.
