  1. Preisner behind Olympic standard pace 15km in at the Hamburg Marathon, and Wodak only 45 or so seconds clear and losing time. Doesn’t look like Canada will add to their Paris team of three marathoners.
  2. Meeting da Liberdade - Lisboa, Portugal April 25, 2024 Full Results Women’s Long Jump * Agate De Sousa With her and Koala (and her eucalyptus leaves ) qualified, women’s long jump is starting to become one of the events I’m most excited for * I’m pretty sure she’ll be representing São Tomé And Príncipe instead of Portugal at the Olympics as that’s what shows up on the Road to Paris rankings. At least I hope so.

  4. Forgot to mention the other two medalists (oops) Ana Laura Portuondo Isasi won a very surprising silver in women’s +78kg (hadn’t heard of her before today), and John Jr Messe A Bessong won bronze in men’s +100kg. Deschenes (+100kg) and Krieber Gagnon (-90kg) both finished off the podium.

  6. 8th for Sarah Douglas in ICLA 6 at the French Olympic Week! Medal race was cancelled due to high winds.
  7. Hypothetically speaking, let’s say that Dong is out for Paris. Would Yakura get to select a new doubles partner, or would Lindeman/Lee instead go to Paris? (they’re in a qualifying position, but missed out due to the one doubles team per NOC rule)
  8. But is she consistently recording marks around that range, or even anywhere near 6.80m? No. Not saying she won’t be a contender, but I wouldn’t consider her to be one of the main favourites unless she can prove that she can do medal winning marks at the majority of her competitions.

  10. As much as I would LOVE for it to happen, no… 6.68m is a decent mark, but it’s not going to be contending for an Olympic medal (final for sure), unless a couple of the favourites have a bad day… You’d probably need 6.80m+ in order to get on the podium.
  11. They’re talking about men’s foil not women’s foil.
  12. Gold for Shady El-Nahas, and silver for Kyle Reyes in men’s -100kg! Francois Gauthier-Drapeau also wins silver in men’s -81kg!
