  1. Arthur Margelidon has had a rough stretch to start off the season, but rebounds here to win gold in men’s 73kg! Helps improves his Olympic seeding, as he’ll be trying to finish among the top 8 in the Olympic ranking in order to avoid the seeds before the quarterfinals. Christa Deguchi won silver in women’s 57kg (slightly disappointing, even if she did lose to Rafaela Silva), and Kelly Deguchi won bronze in women’s 52kg. Julien Frascadore 7th in men’s 66kg.
  2. France is hosting an Olympics this year, I would rather they not get another one so soon… Same thing applies for Salt Lake City, although for me it’s even worse because that’ll mean it’ll be back to back Olympics in United States.
  3. American/Oceania Championships Live stream:
  4. Richardson/Gills fall one point shy of a quota in NACRA 17 at the Last Chance Regatta. Also won’t be qualifying in ICLA 7 for the first time in history. What a shame.
  5. Kento Momota (badminton)
  6. Also, I’m curious. I know the men’s 4x400m relay performed really well at Budapest last year, and might are probably in with a chance of a medal, but can I ask why the other two 4x400m relays are on your must watch list?
  7. Just took a look at the Road to Bahamas rankings, and OK maybe I shouldn’t have said India had no chance in the women’s 4x400m. But saying that they should qualify for Paris is a bit much (besides the men’s 4x400m of course), considering your women’s 4x400m relay is 18th, while your mixed 4x400m relay is 21st. They both have chances of course though, although with only 16 nations qualifying in each relay it’ll be tough.
  8. 11-4 win over Australia, and a 12-6 win over United States has us finish at 8-1 in our group! Up next, Estonia in the playoffs!
  9. Final Round Robin Standings Group A Skaslien/Nedregotten (6-2, 1-0) (Qualifed for the semifinals, will take on either Group B #2 Lott/Lott or Group A #3 Kaldvee/Lill) Schwaller-Hürlimann/Schwaller (6-3, 2-1; 1-0) (Qualifed for the playoffs, will take on Group B #3 Jackson/McFadzean) Kaldvee/Lill (6-3, 2-1; 0-1) (Qualified for the playoffs, will take on Group B #2 Lott/Lott) Constantini/De Zanna (6-3, 1-2; 1-0) Ueno/Yamaguchi (6-3, 1-2; 0-1) Totzek/Kapp (4-5, 1-0) Lander/Holtermann (4-5, 0-1) Yıldız/Ömer Çakır (3-6) (Relegation playoff game against Group B #9 Paulová/Paul) Shevchuk/Coulot (2-7) (Relegation playoff game against Group B #8 Gill/Hewitt) Otaegi/Unanue (1-8) (Relegated to 2024 Mixed Doubles World Qualification Event) Group B Wranå/Wranå (8-1, 1-0) (Qualified for the semifinals, will take on either Group A #2 Schwaller-Hürlimann/Schwaller or Group B #3 Jackson/McFadzean) Lott/Lott (8-1, 0-1) (Qualified for the playoffs, will take on Group B #3 Kaldvee/Lill) Jackson/McFadzean (6-3) (Qualifed for the playoffs, will take on Group A #2 Schwaller-Hürlimann/Schwaller) Ji-Yoon/Byeong-Jin (5-4, 1-0) Hamilton/Hamilton (5-4, 0-1) Ying/Jiafeng (3-6, 2-1; 1-0) Tonoli/Gösgens (3-6, 2-1; 0-1) Gill/Hewitt (3-6, 1:2; 1-0) (Relegation playoff game against Group A #9 Shevchuk/Coulot) Paulová/Paul (3-6, 1-2; 0-1) (Relegation playoff game against Group A #8 Yıldız/Ömer Çakır) Smith/Hood (1-8) (Relegated to 2024 Mixed Doubles World Qualification Event)
  10. Draw 18 2 - 7 12 - 6 5 - 7 7 - 1 4 - 8 is the final team to qualify for the playoffs!
  11. Draw 17 7 - 8 3 - 8 9 - 3 8 - 6 7 - 5 qualifies for the playoffs! (hardly surprising actually, Kaldvee/Lill have been killing it at the Mixed Doubles Super Series events, for sure one of the Milano-Cortina 2026 medal contenders as of now)
  12. Draw 16 4 - 7 8 - 5 11 - 4 6 - 4 10 - 0 get their first win of the event, while locks up their spot in the playoffs.
  13. You mean your men’s 4x400m relay? Your women’s 4x400m relay probably won’t even qualify. I’m also surprised Neeraj Chopra in men’s javelin throw isn’t on your list.
  14. Yeah that was before the Pan American Badminton Championships.
  15. 55.36 for Savannah Sutherland in the women’s 400m hurdles at the Penn Relays! https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6MyvDyPExl/?igsh=MWt3djM3MW9sZGRvZQ==
  16. Jasmin Sawyers (athletics) Women’s long jumper. Ruptured her achilles on her takeoff leg during training.
  17. Huh? I didn’t curse anyone In fact, I think it was just a fluke run of results going in my favor, during the Badminton Pan American Championships I tried jinxing the Canadian mixed doubles/women’s doubles pairings by saying they had no chance to qualify when both were pretty much even with the US pairings in the Olympic Rankings, and were only couple of points down in their respective semifinal matches but both lost lol.
  18. That’s what I would think.
  19. Where are the matches being streamed?
  20. + 2, I’ve noticed you didn’t include Damian Warner/Pierce LePage (decathlon)
  21. You already have women’s handball, let me have women’s volleyball
  22. Not because they’d be medal contenders or anything, just one of the teams I want to see in Paris most.
  23. 1. Softball 2. Women’s Kumite 61kg 3. Men’s/Women’s Shortboard 4. Men’s 50km Race Walk 5. Women’s Volleyball … never mind. For me though, pretty much everything (and I mean everything) except maybe surfing (if anything, I’ll be watching the medal matches at 5:12-7:45 PM PST) and the other sports I mentioned above. Not that I don’t want to watch surfing, but that’s the only thing going on from 3:00-11:00 PM PST, and everyone needs to get some sleep. Plus, I don’t want to miss anything else.
