Well it all comes down to this. v. for the final Olympic quota. Netherlands will almost definitely get a big boost in their rankings after the Serbia match (they’re sending a youth squad as expected, as the main athletes in contention for Olympic roster spots are in Serbia training) so Canada’s matches against Italy and Japan are INCREDIBLY important. @CCB @Jinzha Good luck, and may the better team (Netherlands) win

Honestly, I don’t get the “if it’s not us, I want it to be a Canadian team” statement. OK, sure the last Canadian team to win a Stanley Cup was a while ago back in 1993…. But not sure why it matters, its not like this is the Olympics First of all, if you’re a true fan of your team (and not a casual), you’d root for your team/s (in some scenarios like my buddy TopicMaster1010) to win and them only. I myself, only root for the Canucks. That being said, there’s some teams that I hate that I root AGAINST (Bruins, Golden Knights, Leafs, Oilers) Secondly, for Canucks fans, you don’t just root for the team that JUST eliminated you from the playoffs. Don’t get me started on McDavid and Crysaitl. Draisaitl is so fucking pissy, and McDavid complains about everything. Media glazes him like crazy too. Just a little rant.

Oilers are unlikeable too (more so than the Panthers), so it’s a lose lose either way.
