  1. I’d say you probably know best But I’m curious to what events. Tentoglou in men’s long jump, men’s waterpolo team, women’s waterpolo team, few medal contenders in shooting, Ntouskos in men’s single sculls, few medal contenders in tennis, Petrounias in men’s rings, Kurugliev in men’s 86kg are all medal chances
  2. 18-20. 5 golds. We arguably have a much stronger team than we did in Tokyo (despite -80 or so athletes) but my bet is that the majority of our medal hopes will flop, despite having a ton of chances. (… No I don’t actual think this will be realistic, but better to have low expectations than high expectations)
  3. Not sure, but hopefully Mondo with 6.06m in 2022.
  4. Short onto something good in the men’s 800m freestyle…
  5. Ariarne Titmus decimates the WR in the women’s 200m freestyle!! 1:52.23!!! MOC also under her previous WR mark with 1:52.48!!
  6. Wish I could say the same
  7. Not sure what that has to do with what I said.
  8. Oh I know. But how about preparing for the Olympics by getting your players some match practice in?
  9. Gabriella DeBues-Stafford is switching her focus from the women’s 1500m to the 5000m for the remainder of the Olympic qualification period. Smart move but I still don’t think she’ll qualify for Paris.
  10. At this point it’s a matter of who doesn’t want to be at the Olympics more. Wouldn’t be half surprised if overtakes both of us
  11. Neither does the Canadian team.
  12. Agreed. Lots of strong performances here by a number of athletes. France and Italy in particular seem to be standing out particularly in terms of nations.
  13. First of all, US has been struggling so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Netherlands upsetting them. Second of all, if that does indeed happen, it would require us to probably beat Netherlands 3-0 (potentially 3-1, depending on sets against the other opponents) and we always play 5-setters against them. Third of all, we’ve been playing horribly the last couple of weeks (especially in our last 2 games against Serbia and Italy), unlike week 1 where our attacking stats were way up (and even in the 4-set loss to Brazil, both teams played really well, Canada just ran out of gas near the end) We’ll need to be about 1 point behind Netherlands at worst entering each nations final match, as a sweep over France awards more points than South Korea, but I don’t even think it’ll be close at that point.
  14. And it’s official. Well good fight by (at least during week 1) but in the end wanted it more.
  15. Final day is today
  16. is a really unserious team, putting in a youth squad for week 3 of VNL, really hoping they don’t medal at the Olympics
  17. Well at least Wielgosz won an Olympic quota for you in the women’s 800m
  18. And Olympic quota! Congrats!
  19. Guess you didn’t get the joke
