  9. According to World Triathlon, reigning Olympic bronze medalist Stefan Daniel has officially qualified in men’s PTS5!
  10. Not sure on the factors, but if I had to guess, I’d think that the German table tennis federation decided their entries in men’s singles based off the World Rankings, and their 3rd player based off team event pedigree. Boll, who will only compete in the team event was actually ranked 27th, behind Franziska in 16th, but since he’s known to perform well during the team event that really helps Germany’s medal chances. IMO if it were up to me I would’ve picked Franziska instead of Ovtcharov for singles, even if he’s the reigning Olympic bronze medalist. He hasn’t been in the greatest of form so far this year.
  11. Franziska through to the final at the WTT Singapore Smash! What a run he’s been on. Speaking of Franziska, just a casual reminder that we won’t be seeing him at the Olympics even in the team event (stupid German Table Tennis Federation ) despite being the best German table tennis player in the world at the moment. This year alone he’s beaten Ma Long, and Fan Zhendong TWICE! His only bad loss was to Gerassimenko.
  12. Little bit of news lower down the ranks. Just half a week out from Olympic Trials, there’s an age group meet going on in Markham called the Mac Spring Long Course Invitational. At 11 years-old, Annie Xu clocked a 4:26.52 in the women’s 400m freestyle, which bettered her previous NAG of 4:30.45 by almost four seconds! For some added context, McIntosh was 4:34.48 at the same age… Shes entered in the women’s 1500m freestyle at the Canadian Olympic Trials. Really intriguing prospect heading into LA 2028/Brisbane 2032.
  13. No ones posting about it so I’ll do it myself Women’s Wrestling Quotas (As a reminder, the winner of each repechage bracket will take on each other for the third OQP) 50kg: Repechage Bracket 1: v. / TBD v. / TBD v. 14. 8:07.25 WL and PB for Firewu (pretty cool last name, if I do say so myself) in the men’s 3000m steeplechase! Great way to end off the meet.
  15. 88.36m for Chopra in the final round, but still 2 centimetres shy of Vadlejch.
  16. 46.86 WL for Dos Santos in the men’s 400m hurdles!
  17. Kambundji takes the win in the women’s 100m hurdles, in 12.49. Just 0.02 away from her PB!
  18. Morrison and Godinez are out. Morais, after losing 10-0 to Zhou in the quarterfinals, had to wait and see whether Zhou would win her semifinal today to advance to the repechage. Three wins away from a quota though, Ha in the 1st round, before potential encounters against Hristova for bronze, and Shauchuk/Hanzlikova/Anghel for the Olympic quota.
  19. New PB for Kieran Lumb in the men’s 1500m at the Doha Diamond League! 3:34.41! Olympic standard is 3:33.50, so he’s not too far off.
  20. 88.38m for Vadlejch in Round 3 of men’s javelin throw!
  21. What a race. WL for Chebet in the women’s 5000m in 14:26.98!
  22. Stupid stream isn’t loading
  23. 19.67 WL for Bednarek in the men’s 200m! Race at the US Olympic Trials between Lindsey, Lyles, Knighton, and Bednarek is going to be good.
