Does anyone know if Simon Ehammer will compete in both the men’s long jump and decathlon at the Olympics, or just one of the events?

Not what I’m seeing, but I totally agree with you that it looked like he was easing up at the end. Valuable points towards Olympic qualification up for grabs though, that’s an opportunity missed for him.

I’m not him, but I’d say Choong in men’s modern pentathlon. Egyptians have been quite dominant on the World Cup circuit lately, and whoever the Egyptian federation selects will probably be the favourites for Olympic gold. He’ll be in the mix for a medal though. Also Morgan Lake in women’s high jump, she’s competed at 6 or so competitions this year and has only managed a SB of 1.92m. Rest of the medal (and gold) chances seem accurate, but yeah absolutely no way Great Britain wins that many medals.

Cole Wilson with another new decathlon PB of 7466 points at the Big South Conference Championships. Might be one to watch for the future.

12.98 for Aaliyah Logan at the Conference USA Championships. Won’t count as a PB, as the wind was 4.3m/s, but I believe it should add valuable points towards her Road to Paris ranking.

Canucks with a 4-3 win over the Oilers to take game three, and a 2-1 series lead! Pretty horrific 3rd period, in terms of the total number of shots, recording 3 compared to the Oilers 21. Story of the entire playoffs for the Canucks, we’ve been struggling with it, through 8 playoff games (not including this one) we’ve recorded the 2nd least amount of shots in history.

Bouchard scores with 1:16 to go in the 3rd period. Miller had a chance at an empty net goal for the win, but hit the post. Canucks now lead 4-3 over the Oilers.
