  1. 19 medals for Canada? We could probably get that number without McIntosh 9 golds seems like a fair number (maybe a tad high), I’d be happy with that.
  2. According to some SwimSwam commentators, Fente Damers looked like he injured his left shoulder while celebrating. Might not be be at the Olympics, which would mean that Wissam-Amazigh Yebba would get to swim the men’s 4x100m freestyle. Edit: Yep, @rafalgorka posted about it.
  3. 47.33 for Maxime Grousset in the men’s 100m freestyle at the French Olympic Trials, for a new PB!
  4. Neither is Canada winning 30 medals, and 10 golds, but I don’t see it happening Obviously you would know more about me regarding Dutch Olympic medal prospects, but I’d think that the performances from your athletes throughout the last quad are suggesting it’s highly unlikely to happen (at least according to the other Dutch users on the forum)
  5. Michael Johnson is launching a league called “Grand Slam Track”. https://citiusmag.com/articles/michael-johnson-professional-track-league-grand-slam-track-everything-you-need-to-know So to recap, we now have that in addition to WA Continental Gold/Silver/Bronze/Challenger events, Diamond Leagues, World Championships, Olympics, and also the newly announced Ultimate Championships.
  6. Paavo Nurmi Games - Turku, Finland June 18, 2024 Full Results Women’s High Jump Ella Junnila Men’s 100m Lamont Marcel Jacobs Chituru Ali Andre DeGrasse Men’s 800m Mark English
  7. Really? None of the other Dutch users on here seem to be as optimistic as you are.
  8. Olympic quota for Mark English in the men’s 800m!! @mpjmcevoy @Cosmo Kramer@Oldira@dodge @OlympicIRL
  9. Solid men’s 100m final. Lamont Marcel Jacobs wins in 9.92 (rounding into form right before the Olympics), ahead of his compatriot Chituru Ali in 9.96, and Andre DeGrasse in 10.00 (fastest time for him since September 2021)
  10. OLYMPIC QUOTA!! Andre DeGrasse 10.00 in the men’s 100m, it’s his best time since the Zurich Diamond League in September 2021! Jerome Blake also with a very decent 10.17.
  11. Alysha Newman with a new SB of 4.61m in women’s pole vault at the Paavo Nurmi Games! Needed 3rd attempt clearances at that and 4.51m though.
  12. 4.80m for Nina Kennedy in women’s pole vault!
  13. Camacho-Quinn clatters into a hurdle in the women’s 100m hurdles heats Shoe off, looks like there’s an injury. Hopefully it’s nothing serious
  14. 47.08 for Jack Alexy in the men’s 100m freestyle HEATS (!!!) at the US Olympic Trials! 0.28 away from Zhanle’s WR.
  15. Probably just to get some last minute racing in before Paris.
  16. 9.99 SB for the reigning Olympic Champion Lamont Marcel Jacobs in the men’s 100m and has reached the Olympic standard! @phelps
  17. What about a second quota in women’s 10m?
  18. NR and Olympic quota for Ella Junnila in women’s high jump
  19. Canada defeat Japan in 5 in match 8 of Men’s VNL, to improve to 5-4! Keeps our hopes alive for a VNL Finals appearance. Edit: Also back to #9 in the World Rankings, but more importantly the 3rd pot for the Olympic draw!
  20. defeat in 5!!
  21. Three individual medals would be very disappointing for someone like her. 400IM and 200FL should be “locks”. 200IM she should medal in (and a good chance at gold, given 200IM/400IM gold doubles always happen at the Olympics). 400FR as well, 3:58 would be more than enough. I’m hoping for 4 total, and 2-3 golds.
  22. I thought De Bues Stafford was focusing on the women’s 5000m and not the 1500m?
  23. Entry list isn’t out yet (at least I can’t seem to find one) for La Classique d'athlétisme de Montréal, on June 21, but scouring through various websites, I figured out some of the athletes that will be present! Brooke Overholt will be in the women’s 400m hurdles, Zakary Mama-Yari and Abdullahi Hassan in the men’s 800m, Simone Plourde , Gabriela De-Bues Stafford, Kate Current in the women’s 1500m, Jazz Shukla and Madeline Kelly in the women’s 1000m (not sure why), Eliezer Adjibi in the men’s 100m, Audrey Leduc, Sade McCreath, Marie-Eloisee Leclair and Donna Ntambue in the women’s 100m, Ibrahim Ayorinde and Callum Robinson in the men’s 200m, Jacqueline Madogo in the women’s 200m, Grace Konrad and Aiyanna Stiverne in the women’s 400m, Addy Townsend in the women’s 800m, Rachel Hyink in women’s pole vault, Aaliyah Logan and Tatiana Aholou in women’s 100m hurdles, Craig Thorne in men’s 110m hurdles, Jean-Simon Desgagnes and Robert Heppenstall in the men’s 1500m, Liv Sands and Grace Tennant in women’s shot put, Mark Bujnowski in men’s shot put, and Malik Metivier in the men’s 400m hurdles.
  24. Also, with the most recent batch of Olympic Trials, it’s a real possibility that McIntosh might only win one Olympic gold in Paris (women’s 400m individual medley), despite all the hype. Smith in the women’s 200m butterfly, Douglass/McKeown/Walsh in the women’s 200m individual medley, Titmus in the women’s 400m freestyle…
