  1. sweep @rybak
  2. Pascal Dion has retired https://www.instagram.com/p/C8aBQaYJKR9/?igsh=OGIwOGRqN2ZmdWR1
  3. 46.88 for Popovici in the men’s 100m freestyle 3rd fastest mark all-time. I think it’s safe to say that HE’S BACK.
  4. Two more swimmers announced. Hannah Oullette and Clem Pare will be making their Paralympic debuts. https://www.instagram.com/p/C8Z7GBwOidC/?igsh=MXRuNXA0cDltd2U3bg==
  5. Fair enough, but that does seem a little conservative. Hope you’re wrong Edit: … didn’t even realize Cavanaugh was on there
  6. Can’t give up a relay medal opportunity if you weren’t even selected in the first place Rebecca Smith will be more than enough to advance to the final, and with MSH’s big schedule it would probably be best to save her for her other events. I’d even put Maggie MacNeil over her for prelims.
  7. Rebecca Smith will probably
  8. Potentially, but it’s not as if she’s rarely been racing it this year. Wouldn’t say it’s due to a packed schedule either, she’d probably not go for the 100m freestyle if that was the case.
  9. Good point. Well MSH has a very busy Olympic schedule lined up, so I’m not sure if she’ll try and complicate it any further. MSH a lock for prelims (and probably finals) for our women’s 4x100m/200m freestyle relays, in addition to the women’s 200m freestyle. She might (and hopefully will) scratch the women’s 100m butterfly, which would give Rebecca Smith an individual swim, but I don’t see her doing prelims for the women’s 4x100m medley relay, Smith should be more than enough to advance to the final. I’m also hoping the women’s 400m individual medley is going to be on her programme, because although she scratched out of it at Olympic Trials, it’s her best and only chance at an individual Olympic medal. With her trajectory, could see her producing a solid PB. Hoping she doesn’t get the OQT in the women’s 100m freestyle, don’t want to see her take on too much at Paris. Fingers crossed for Ruck though at the Mel Zajac. @Topicmaster1010 curious on what you think
  10. Without getting a virus I mean
  11. MSH has OQTs in all of her main events, I think she’s just using the meet to get some racing in. Oleksiak is aiming for the women’s 100m freestyle OQT of 53.61. Edit: I’ll also add that half of the Canadian Olympic contingent will be racing at another meet. Rest are still training.
  12. Didn’t matter in the context of the game, because McDavid scored right after, but unreal save by Matthew Tkachuk here. @hckošice
  13. Oilers survive elimination again, as they defeat the Panthers 5-3 in game 5. Panthers now have a 3-2 series lead.
  14. XIX Reunion Internacional de Athletismo “Villa del Bilbao” - Bilbao, Spain June 18, 2024 Full Results Men’s 100m Jhony Renteria
  15. 57.91 for Katharine Berkoff, likely will be a battle between her and Masse for bronze assuming she makes the Olympic team.
  16. 57.13 REGAN SMITH ABSOLUTELY DEMOLISHES MCKEOWN’S WR IN THE WOMEN’S 100M BACKSTROKE AT THE US OLYMPIC TRIALS!! @maestro @dullard @Topicmaster1010
  17. WAIT I JUST REALIZED NBC is available on my TV That means I can watch the US Olympic Swim Trials
  18. WNBA star Cameron Brink suffered a leg injury during today’s Sparks game. She was named to the US Olympic roster for 3x3, and might miss Paris as a result of it. https://www.instagram.com/p/C8YB_wyPUYR/?igsh=dGpqbnBoNWxheHEz
  19. Surprised no one has mentioned this yet (I would’ve done it yesterday when I was watching it, but couldn’t be bothered), but the Celtics defeated the Mavericks in 5 to win their 18th NBA championship. Finals MVP went to Jaylen Brown.
  20. Bad start too, 9.8 high (would either be an =PB or outright PB) might be possible at Olympic Trials, depending on the conditions. Promising signs for his 200m, he might need to better his 19.62 in order to win one of the minor medals (Lyles is untouchable, should be between him, Tebogo, Bednarek, Hughes, Knighton for silver and bronze)
  21. @Topicmaster1010 Vancouver Canucks have resigned Filip Hronek! $7.25m/8 yrs. He was asking for $8m not long ago, props to Allvin for getting it down as much as he could. https://www.instagram.com/p/C8X1uU7B6Vd/?igsh=MXBxbXJocmZzMG40Zg==
  22. Let’s just say that Gracenote has a reputation of not having the most accurate projections I’d be curious to see how many medals (and golds) Netherlands are projected to win on any Dutch Olympic site.
  23. 19 medals for Canada? We could probably get that number without McIntosh 9 golds seems like a fair number (maybe a tad high), I’d be happy with that.
  24. According to some SwimSwam commentators, Fente Damers looked like he injured his left shoulder while celebrating. Might not be be at the Olympics, which would mean that Wissam-Amazigh Yebba would get to swim the men’s 4x100m freestyle. Edit: Yep, @rafalgorka posted about it.
