  1. Shirai fails to make the final
  2. I know I’m always posting on this thread, but I also use this to determine which results pages I should keep an eye on as well. Here’s my schedule though; VNL (all Canada matches), NHL (all Canucks games), Athletics (Rabat Diamond League, Gotzis, LA Grand Prix, Seiko Golden Grand Prix), Hockey (Men’s Worlds, all Canada matches + more maybe), Swimming (remainder of the Canadian Olympic Trials), Diving (Canadian Olympic Trials in men’s 10m and women’s 3m, but women’s 3m is the more intriguing one), 3x3 Basketball (Olympic Qualifying Tournament Debrecen), Beach Volleyball (AVP Huntington Beach, Espinho Elite 16), Olympic Qualifier Series, Athletics As for results, the Atlanta Classic in swimming, Meeting Savona/Atlantic City Games/Orlen Janusz Kusocinski Memorial (@Grassmarket is there a stream for the latter?) in athletics (there’s probably more that I’ll come across that I’m forgetting about), Judo World Championships, Rowing Final Olympic Regatta/Lucerne Regatta, Canoe Sprint WC Poland, World Boxing Olympic Qualifier 2, Archery WC Incheon, ATP/WTA Italian Open/Roland Garros, BMX Racing World Championships, Pan American/European Olympic Qualifier, Para Athletics World Championships, NBA, other NHL games.
  3. In the first semifinal heat, Matt Berger finishes 6th with a total of 230.65, and Ryan Decenzo 8th with a total of 148.59. Neither will make the final. Despite having excellent tricks scores, Berger really struggled during his runs which put him out of contention for the final. DeCenzo on the other hand, had a mediocre run score but only managed to put down one out of his five tricks (three count towards your score) I’ll do updated Olympic ranking points for each of them as soon as the next semifinal has finished.
  4. Also today at the LA Track Fest, Camryn Rogers with a pretty decent 75.56m in women’s hammer throw, Jazz Shukla 2:01.18, Aurora Rynda 2:03.24, Addy Townsend 2:03.68 in the women’s 800m, and in the men’s 800m, Abdullahi Hassan 1:47.96.
  5. Fay Ebert finishes in 15th, with a best semifinal score of 59.36. With there being 20 spots available through the Olympic Qualifier Series, this is a great start towards Olympic qualification. Her new Olympic Ranking total is now 13,703 points.
  6. First sub 13:00 of the season in the men’s 5000m for Mo Ahmed at the LA Track Fest in 12:54.22!
  7. Ryan Tougas is through to the quarterfinals at the BMX Racing World Championships. Will be really really tough to secure the quota with both Italian riders, a Brazilian rider, a Japanese rider, and a Chilean rider all still in, but there’s a chance.
  8. Women’s KO #4 (1 OQP) Codina v. Cossio Aceves Gonzalez v. Diaz Men’s KO #4 Kumar v. Pereira Mino v. Afanador
  9. 8:16.49 for Jean-Simon Desgagnes in the men’s 3000m steeplechase. About a second and a half outside of the Olympic standard.
  10. Other notable results in the race include Regan Yee registering a DNF (hopefully not an injury), while Grace Fetherstonhaugh recorded a new SB of 9:39.62.
  11. CANADIAN RECORD ALERT!! Celi McCabe goes 9:20.58 at the LA Grand Prix in the women’s 3000m steeplechase, smashing the previous mark of 9:22.40 by Lalonde in 2021! Of course, it goes without saying that it’s an Olympic qualifying time.
  12. 37th for Samantha Secours in women’s street prelims yesterday.
  13. Women’s Street Semifinalists: 1.) Liz Akama - 87.14 2.) Chloe Covell - 84.76 3.) Funa Nakayama - 84.12 4.) Coco Yoshizawa - 83.32 5.) Cui Chenxi - 79.76 6.) Rayssa Leal - 76.01 7.) Momiji Nishiya - 75.24 8.) Poe Pinson - 74.46 9.) Wenhui Zeng - 72.46 10.) Yuanling Zhu - 70.46 11.) Natalia Munoz - 70.00 12.) Paige Heyn - 69.88 13.) Mariah Duran - 69.57 14.) Miyu Ito - 68.37 15.) Afrika Criado Oliva - 67.60 16.) Yan Zhang - 65.18
  14. Haven’t seen anyone mention it yet, but Nicholas Bennett obliterated his own men’s S14 200IM WR in 2:05.97 tonight!
  15. Good luck (you’ll really need it), Germany is an extremely tough opponent and you’ll be underdogs, but 3x3 can be very unpredictable sometimes and Poland is a decent team. I’m hoping you lose to Germany tomorrow personally (sorry ), and then beat Spain in the quarterfinals. Would make it much easier for Germany to qualify, I really want to see Greinacher at the Olympics, such an incredible athlete.
  16. There’s also Volleytalk.
  17. Does this event have priority or the Olympic Rankings?
  18. Thank you for the kind words For me, this is one of my biggest hopes for Olympic qualification (other being men’s volleyball, which has of course already happened), really hoping they can get it done.
  19. Smith seems more likely. We likely won’t use MacNeil for prelims, and with Mary-Sophie Harvey swimming a somewhat big schedule, I’d rather save her for her other events. Smith would be more than good enough to advance to the final. FYI, they can select discretionary picks, and LePage (and Branton) have the OQT in the women’s 100m breaststroke, although I don’t think they’ll select either of them. Hope I’m wrong though, would love to see our team size increase.
  20. Just thought I’d make this to show the most notable names that haven’t made the Olympic team yet (or won’t at all) Some are names that I thought had a chance. Katerine Savard Rebecca Smith Antoine Sauve Shona Branton Alexanne LePage Hugh McNeill Laon Kim Aiden Norman Raben Dommann Sarah Fournier Bailey Andison Tessa Cieplucha Katie Forrester Mabel Zavaros Kathryn Cannings Collyn Gagne Stephen Calkins Ashley McMillan
  21. with another big win today, defeating 3-1! KVR and Gray were phenomenal as always. Johnson, King (Brazil has really improved her game within the last year), and White were some of the other standouts, but a massive shoutout to Courtney Baker who clutched up at the closing stages of each set yet again (we were down 10-19 in set two, and despite going on a big run couldn’t win the set), producing tough serve after tough serve (and a couple of aces) like she did against Brazil and Dominican Republic. This Canadian team is so good at the closing stages of each match, I remember countless times during last years VNL and Olympic Qualifying Tournament where they came back from multi point margins. @Laraja @Adriano

  23. Of course they do, but they also lose points for losses. They beat Bulgaria 3-0 (4 points), and lost 1-3 to Turkey (-2.5 points), compared to Canada losing to Brazil 1-3 (-3 points), sweeping Dominican Republic (13 points), and defeating China 3-1 (11 points).
  24. Kharun 1:54.41 in the men’s 200m butterfly!
