  1. Canada’s B team lost their opening match to Austria.
  2. Olympic Draw Pots Pot 1: Pot 2: Pot 3: Pot 4:
  3. Provisional Olympic team after Day 3 (23 athletes) On Tuesday, when the US Olympic Trials are taking a break (not sure why), I’ll do a rundown of the events where the US hasn’t qualified a full Olympic team Men Track 100m - Noah Lyles, Kenny Bednarek, Fred Kerley 10000m - Grant Fisher, Woody Kincaid, Nico Young 4x100m Relay - Noah Lyles, Kenny Bednarek, Fred Kerley Field Shot Put - Ryan Crouser, Joe Kovacs, Payton Otterdahl Pole Vault - Sam Kendricks, Chris Nilsen, Jacob Wooten Combined Decathlon - Heath Baldwin, Harrison Williams, Zack Ziemek Women Track 100m - Sha’Carri Richardson, Melissa Jefferson, Twanisha Terry 400m - Kendall Ellis, Aaliyah Butler, Alexis Holmes 4x100m Relay - Sha’Carri Richardson, Melissa Jefferson, Twanisha Terry 4x400m Relay - Kendall Ellis, Aaliyah Butler, Alexis Holmes Field Hammer Throw - Deanna Price, Annette Echikunwoke
  4. 9.83 for Noah Lyles in the men’s 100m Kenny Bednarek 2nd in 9.87, and Fred Kerley 3rd in 9.88. Christian Coleman will not be making the Olympic team individually
  5. Very strange scenes in the men’s javelin throw final, with Thompson fouling during his last 3 rounds, and Williamson and Banks in their last 4 (!!) rounds. Coincidentally, those were the top 3 and therefore have “qualified” for the Olympics (None of them have the Olympic standard, Thompson is safe, Williamson might qualify, and Banks will probably not, so if Minichello can stay within the quotas he’ll qualify)
  6. Kaylyn Brown would’ve been one, but she didn’t even qualify.
  7. @Triplecast given that Corrigan is nowhere near a spot through the Road to Paris, what would happen? Would they give his spot to Jager (4th at US Trials), or Rotich (Highest finisher with the Olympic standard) ?
  8. 49.46 for Kendall Ellis in the women’s 400m Aaliyah Butler 2nd in 49.71, and Alexis Holmes 3rd in 49.78 grab the other two individual quotas.
  9. 44.49 Another U18 WR in the men’s 400m for Quincy Wilson
  10. Another surprise as Ajee Wilson fails to advance to the women’s 800m final.
  11. 5 men under 9.90 in the men’s 100m semifinals Ridiculous. Noah Lyles is the top qualifier with 9.80, Kenny Bednarek 2nd in 9.82, Christian Coleman 3rd in 9.86, Courtney Lindsey 4th in 9.88, and Fred Kerley 5th in 9.89.
  12. Wait a minute, KC Lightfoot out in men’s pole vault qualifying
  13. Wide open for the Olympic medals now. Assuming Rogers and Price win gold and silver (no particular order), there’s a whole bunch of names that could win bronze. Wlodarczyk, Fantini, Skydan, Kosonen, Marglieva just to name a few.
  14. Adding onto that then, I believe one of my parents friends know Leylah Fernandez, my aunt, who owns a makeup company, has chatted to Bianca Andresscu about sponsoring her, and my dad’s friends friend is Steph Curry’s physiotherapist Unfortunately, I haven’t met any of them yet (I have seen Bedard at the school many times before, but every single time got too nervous to talk to him)
  15. Wow really? That’s so cool, damn. Speaking of going to the same school as an athlete, Connor Bedard went to my school.
  16. Sam Schachter/Dan Dearing qualify for the Olympics in men’s beach volleyball through the NORCECA Olympic Qualifier!!
  17. Quota for in men’s beach volleyball through the NORCECA Olympic Qualifier! Happy for Sam after what happened during the Tokyo 2020 Qualifier, his partner Pedlow couldn’t side out to save his life
  18. 2022 World Champion in women’s hammer throw Brooke Andersen will NOT be going to the Olympics, as she X X X‘s out of the finals during the US Olympic Trials!
  19. Bansley speaks a little bit of Portuguese? Didn’t know that about her
  20. Heather Bansley/Sophie Bukovec qualify for the Olympics in women’s beach volleyball through the NORCECA Olympic Qualifier!!
  21. Quota for in women’s beach volleyball through the NORCECA Olympic Qualifier!
  22. Quarterfinals v. v. v. v.
  23. @Benolympique how exactly is the amount of quotas that France has won, well below expectations
  24. They handed out tripartite quotas at previous Olympics, and there was still enough room to invite athletes with B standards.
