    Sir Safety Perugia which won all 22 games in the Italian Super League regular season (losing only 11 sets) crashes out in QF vs Allianz Milano 2-3 in best of five This means for the first time since 2017 the league final won't be played between Perugia and Cucine Lube Civitanova. Last time neither of these teams were in the final was 2015.

    Jon Rahm wins 2023 Masters (-12) Koepka & Mickelson four shots back. Impressive performance after he was one of those who had to finish the third round today after all the rain. He started the final round two shots behind Koepka.

    This week's tourmament finals: Charleston 500 (green clay) Ons Jabeur def. Belinda Bencic 7-6(6) 6-4 Bogota 250 (clay) Tatjana Maria def. Peyton Stearns 6-3 2-6 6-4 Next week is for BJK Cup and then we go to Stuttgart 500 indoor clay (Istanbul 250 cancelled after the recent Earthquake).

    Mavericks will miss the playoffs. They didn't even want to compete for the play-in as Doncic played 13 mins in a must-win game vs Bulls They still needed to win their last game and count for Oklahoma loss but why bother? Kyrie Irving can and probably will leave after the season so this mini-experiment turned out to be a complete failure. Zero defense still means minimal chances for success in modern NBA, just ask the Rockets...

    Even a Yordan Alvarez Grand Slam can't stop the Twins who beat Astros 9-6 Rays still unbeaten at 7-0, Brewers at 6-1 the second best team through the first week. Angels lead AL West despite losing the home opener to Blue Jays yesterday (in vintage Angels fashion, only Trout & Ohtani with hits and the bullpen sucks).

    I can only wonder how much the media hype McIlroy to win the Masters to complete the Grand Slam. I suppose the hype is even bigger this year since he's stayed on the PGA side

    The renovated Trampolino Dal Ben ski jumping complex is projected to have HS 143 which would make it the second biggest large hill in operation (after Willingen HS 147). I assume they want to push the 150 meter jumps if possible. Normal hill will be HS 109. LH record on the current/soon old HS 134 is 138.5 meters by Eric Frenzel (nordic combined).

    Laguta and Sayfutdinov had Polish citizenship for a while now and there was a debate last year whether we should treat them as Poles anyway. Obviously speedway is a niche sport nobody cares about in the big picture

    @Vektor@BiathlonfanYeah, the World Cup in Poznań has been cancelled. Apparently FIE send a message to the organizers that "Polish authorities can't decide which Russians should take part in the event or not and that is FIE's decision". After that the Polish organizers cancelled the event. If FIE is sending such a message to everyone else opposing the Russians then I'm no longer surprised why everything gets cancelled. This is quite a hideous blackmail for lack of better words.

    Sandy Alcantara had to pitch a CG shutout to deny the Twins and Marlins escaped with 1-0 victory. Meanwhile Brewers beat Mets 9-0 which included Max Scherzer giving up 3 HR in one inning

    After Lakers got rid of Westbrook they predictably got better. The Kyrie Irving experiment in Dallas is a complete dumpster fire (also predictable) and Mavericks could even miss the play-in Three games to go and they can only finish 40-42 IF they win all three... Sacramento Kings made the playoffs to snap the longest post-season drought in all US major pro leagues (since 2006). The new masters of futility are NY Jets of NFL (last playoffs in 2010).
