  1. And here come the penalties. Could have had that after 90 mins. Really poor match overall.
  2. Well, that was a bad first half. Old Ronaldo vs out of form Mbappe and it shows.
  3. Yeah, he couldn't move at all. He suffered the injury on a play that gave him SP but quickly lost the next two points and conceded on Fils' SP. Still no details on how serious this injury is.
  4. "DIe Hard" is way above Ronaldo. He's like the Texas cockroach. You squash it, hear a crack, lift your foot and the damn thing is still running around
  5. Taylor added 6 minutes to the second half of ET but still couldn't help Germany enough. It's safe to say he can go right back to England after this poor performance. Awful refereeing all around.
  6. Merino heads in for 2-1!!!
  7. Germany equalizes in the 89th minute.
  8. Kroos finally gets booked in the 67th minute.
  9. Rudiger gets boked for a much less reckless foul than Kroos and could miss the SF.
  10. First big mistake from Taylor. Should have been a YC for Kroos so let's see if the ref goes all pro-Germany from here.
  11. Orwell's Animal Farm is back on. Some are more equal than the others. What else is new?
  12. First past the post system still hosed Farage? Apparently they got almost 2x as many votes as Lib Dems but will get 5x less MP seats! Democracy rules
  13. Sunak can ride off into the sunset now? The face of the biggest Tory defeat since 1906?
  14. Not like we'd have any chance vs Spain but yeah, this was an ugly collapse
  15. I predict some Turkish "fans" will burn a few cars and other stuff now. Anyway, this is what you get when you promote politics in football. Obviously BBC and other media didn't realize promoting politics in sports doesn't only mean promoting liberal democracy. Qatar quashed the narrative with heavy pro-Palestine campaign in 2022 and forced the liberal media to sit on their hands since suddenly they realized queer campaign wasn't the only one that had to be accepted. Welcome to the real world Germany is lucky Mesut Ozil has retired already or his Edrogan fanboyism and the grey wolf tattoo would really cause havoc. And now UEFA can pretend he never existed
  16. Hubert Hurkacz suffered a knee injury diving to a net ball and has withdrew from R2 match vs Arthur Flis. It's anyone's guess how that affects the Olympics participation now.
  17. QF referees: Anthony Taylor - vs Michael Oliver - vs Daniele Orsato - vs Clement Turpin - vs This probably means Vincic and Marciniak are heavy favorites for the semi-finals but I'm unsure who gets the final unless Orsato gets his 5th match of the tournament. Soares Dias is my dark outsider if Portugal doesn't make it.
  18. NOC listed 88 names that reached the qualifying standard.
  19. Maria Camila Osorio Serrano has confirmed she made the OG cut-off after all the recent withdrawals.
  20. Poland will always send as many athletes as possible. Let's see if we avoid the swimming drama from 2021 where six swimmers found out they are ineligible to compete only after they arrived in Tokyo
  21. It feels like every Brazilian fan has been saying their NT or the coach sucks for the past 14 years
  22. Armenia and Kurds saying negative things about Turkey? That's brand new information! Like I've said, this is a by-product of letting more teams into the Euro finals. Majority of the Balkans and Turkey has a much easier way to qualify now and of course they are nationalistic nations so you know what you get. England might change the St. George's cross to purple colors and nobody cares after like five days but it's not that simple with some other nations who have long been ignored on the global stage. This is their time to shine and they will full advantage of that.
  23. That's the flip side of having so many teams play at the Euro. It's no longer an exclusive party for Western democracies. However Germany should be aware they are the Turkey's second home to begin with? This inappropriate behaviour is simply reality. What does Germany's internal affairs minister say about all those Turks actually living in Germany?
