  1. And it's 3-1 Nuggets. Almost done and dusted after Miami lost two at home. Only the 2016 Cavaliers won from 1-3 in the NBA Finals
  2. Let's hope they won't throw an artificial yellow flag with 30 mins left to trigger the new safety car procedure nonsense to create more fake excitement. If Toyota doesn't break down they should win the race with ease again.
  3. @GrassmarketA globallist loser? Need some details here. I lost track of the clown show known as the UK politics The Labour still can't screw this up at the next elections?
  4. Well, Kato definitely profited from the drama while Bouzkova & SST came out with next to nothing public support for their lying about the incident
  5. Iga Świątek beats Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-2 7-6(7) in the second SF. Good effort from BHM in the second set where she even had SP in th tie-break.
  6. @heywooduYou missed the biggest drama of Roland Garros so far? Karolina Muchova beats Aryna Sabalenka in the first women's semi-final. Sabalenka led 5-2 in the decider but started making crazy UE. Meanwhile in the girls tournament we have 3 Russians and in the semi-finals. The Peruvian had to defend MP from another Russian and only won in third-set Super TB.
  7. Jacob deGrom is set for TJ surgery but Rangers still have the second best record in AL behind the Rays.
  8. Haddad Maia is basically set to enter Top 10 for the first time unless Muchova actually wins the whole tournament
  9. Well, in Polish the sport is called "skoki do wody" which means "jumping into the water". Diving means underwater swimming i.e. scuba diving
  10. 11. The Chinese corruption scandal appears to be settled... Liang Wenbo and Li Hang banned for life in professional snooker. Yan Bingtao banned for 5 years (until 2027) and Zhao Xintong banned until Septemer 1st, 2024. https://www.bbc.com/sport/snooker/65641122 Pretty much in between the two other high-profile cases from recent memory (Quinten Hann banned for 8 years, never came back & Stephen Lee currently banned for 12 years and I doubt he comes back given his age).
  12. I suspect it means LIV golfers will be eligible for Olympics. This was the only way since majors allowed these players to compete and the Ryder Cup would be a no-win for Europe if the best Americans would be missing (I'm not sure if LIV Americans would be banned outright but I heard that wouldn't be the case?). Overall LIV totally forced the PGA changes after they lost the monopoly on the sport (European Tour was long playing second fiddle anyway). Even forcing players to attend certain tournaments at least once in a four year span is gone from next PGA season IIRC.
  13. Yeah, quite frankly I never knew when it happened without checking least of all it's national holiday in Sweden Though I remember Denmark used to be the "stronger" part of the Union at first
  14. The Szewińska Memorial has started. Still some school races before 6 pm.
  15. It's the dissolution date of the Kalmar Union? Not like Poland had much joy with Sweden in the 16th century (outside from having a Swedish dynasty as Kings ).
  16. Since even tournament director Amelie Mauresmo said last year women's matches aren't bringing enough revenue, not much will change going forward. After Sabalenka/Stephens was announced as the night match on Chatrier the other day several tickets were returned for re-sale. You just ain't gonna force people to pay and watch women's match if they don't think it will be competitive/exciting enough.
  17. 20 more Kenyans suspended for doping How long until Kenya gets banned from athletics outright? https://www.pulsesports.ng/athletics/story/kenyas-top-sprinter-and-19-other-athletes-suspended-for-doping-violations-2023060316474274952
  18. It's not your decision to make. Even Roosevelt said self-determination of nations is paramount. I assume you're familiar with the concept?
  19. It was a ball girl. SST & Bouzkova pressed the umpire to DQ Kato/Sutjiadi after they were initially only given a warning. Weak stuff from SST/Bouzkova who didn't even bother to check with the ball girl, instead they argued the match should be over. Expect some booing in their next doubles match.
  20. Ruch Chorzów is back in the Polish Ekstraklasa
  21. Winner of AKS vs Gauff plays winner of Świątek vs Tsurenko in QF
  22. FC Barcelona wins the women's Champions League 3-2 over VFL Wolfsburg in the final. Barcelona came from 0-2 half-time deficit. Ewa Pajor who scored the first goal for Wolfsburg was the top scorer of the competition (9 goals in 11 matches)
  23. Iga Świątek probably liked the Rybakina news as she took 50 mins to beat Wang Xinyu 6-0 6-0
  24. Elena Rybakina has WD from Roland Garros citing fever & allergy.
