Wait a sec, wait a sec. Up until now, every single Palestinian refugee in the world has claimed that they are refugees because they do NOT have their own State. So now, instantly, the moment that the Palestinians DO get their own state, Palestinian refugees are going to claim that they are refugees from their own state because they don't like that Hamas and the PLO are running it?
Yeah, I can see that happening. You don't expect logic in politics, do you? Except for greed of power

I enjoyed the judo competition today very much. Especially Joanne van Lieshout, but also the Polish girl Szymanska ... wow!! What a beautiful techniques she used.
Tito Grigalashvili is always nice to watch, a well deserved third world title for him.
First time a female judoka in WCh final since Beata Maksymow won gold in 1999

It's a different injury that prevented Kerr from playing much at the last World Cup? At least they don't have to keep it a secret for ticket sales or something.

Jesse Eisenberg said he applied for Polish citizenship 9 months ago and apparently the paperwork only needs the president's signing. He has been given PESEL already (aka our version of a social security number).
His family immigrated from Eastern Poland to USA after World War II.

22.07 PB in the women’s 200m for Sydney McLaughlin
It's almost a shame the US media focus on Richardson instead of McLaughlin who is much more likeable and could actually be the doing things Marion Jones was supposed to do 25 years ago. I do realize SML's somewhat indifferent persona is a nightmare for story-telling TV ratings.

Well, that was one game Poland needed to win to have any chance of staying up. If we can't beat France it would be improbable to expect beating anyone else here.

Holstein Kiel has been promoted to the 1. Bundesliga for the very first time.
I suppose that's the northern-most German city that will ever play in top flight?
And for once handball might take a back seat there.

@rybakPoland did amazing today. Lost 4-5 after overtime.
Yeah, this is a totally unexpected point for us

So much for democracy then. USA's veto still makes the ultimate difference however there's a chance US President will be Muslim one day so Palestine might get a chance around 2175?

I would assume a lot of Polish fans would travel to Ostrava given how close it is to the border. Alas I'd be amazed if we lose by less than 3 goals

Robert E. Lee & Thomas 'Stonewall' Jackson are back on in high schools in Virginia. I suppose they have a more lasting legacy in US history than George Floyd so it's not a surprise.

Poland beat Slovakia by 18 goals in a friendly in January and we lose to them in the WCh playoffs

Zermatt has been dropped and apparently they're not happy since they have a 5 year contract. Word is they banned professional skiers from training there in the summer

@thepharoahMayar Sherif has made the Rabat final where she will play Peyton Stearns. I'd say she's favorite to win the title
