  3. . I'm not sure about the last quota. But according to the qualification document, the last quota will in this case be reallocated to the world ranking because French has already won one at the European Champs.

  6. Asadauskaitė didn't start in swimming Does anyone know the reason why?
  7. Me as Saints fan:
  8. I liked how he played on the field. Outside the field, he is really flawed to say at least. To my defence, I didn't know about this case when I started watching NFL. I was 9 years old in 2004 when I watched him play for the first time and at that time I didn't do thorough background check on all players in NFL. By the way, this is not me trying to make up an excuse. My view on him as NFL-player is still the same, but my view on him as person outside the field has definitely changed since the first time I watched him play.
  9. With a new PB of 5.81m in men's pole vault, Ernest John Obiena is the first athlete from to qualify for Tokyo. https://www.iaaf.org/athletes/philippines/ernest-john-obiena-290722
  10. Meeting: Brussels Transfers Status OPEN until Today, September 05th at 14:10 (UTC) @tuniscof @ady48 @africaboy @heywoodu @Henry_Leon @Olympian1010 @Dunadan @Vojthas @toulousain @SteveParker @rybak @Dragon @OlympicIRL It's one of those meeting where a single event is held a day before the rest...
  11. My team is New Orleans Saints. I started watching NFL back in 2004 and I decided to pick a team who had a so-so record from 2003. I saw Saints had a 8-8 record for 2003, so I chose them. It was mainly because New Orleans Saints sounded like a cool name. Katrina then happened in 2005, which made me see how much football meant for this city, so my support grew. Since I have enjoyed seeing Payton and Brees create magic on offense and the highlight was of course the SB victory in the 2009 season. To be honest I do prefer teams with a great defense, which Saints usually don't have, so I also mini-support Chicago Bears, Baltimore Ravens. Bears is based on clips I have seen of their defense from 80's. With Ravens it is one person, Ray Lewis.
  12. Oh no, heywoodu!
  13. To be fair, Olympic gold medals are silver medals with a thin gold layer. "Gold and silver medals are at least 92.5% silver. Gold medals must be plated with at least 6 grams of gold". Soruce: https://www.thoughtco.com/what-are-olympic-medals-made-of-608456 But in all seriousness, I do think the olympic medal table should be sorted by the amount of gold medals won.
  14. Sverri Nielsen through to the A-Final and secures an Olympic quota. Well done, Sverri!

  16. Echevarria
  17. But she didn't beat Ottey's meeting record. Also according to one of the Danish commentators, Ottey has apparently represented Slovakia. @hckosice
  18. A nice 3rd place for de Witte and an Olympic Standard
  19. From the qualification document: Additional IF Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible to participate in the Olympic Games, all athletes, including those receiving Tripartite Commission Invitation Places, must have achieved the following Minimum Qualification Score (MQS) between 1st day of the World Archery Championships 2019 and Final Entry by name at a World Archery-registered event. - Men 70m round 640 - Women 70m round 605 World Archery (“WA”) will review the scores of all entered athletes to verify that they have achieved the abovementioned requirement. The World Archery Executive Committee will make the final determination on the eligibility to participate in the Olympic Games of any athlete who has not met the MQS at a World Archery registered event but can demonstrate adequate proof of reaching the MQS. This process will be completed by (insert date). So what I understand from some of you, users, the WA Executive Committee will not be too strict when it comes to smaller nations, or more precise, developing nations in the selection process, if athletes from these nations have met other qualification criterias.
  20. Now the next goal for these archers is to achieve the MQS.
  21. I'm also not sure... According to her IAAF profile there was no wind information. Which I do find a bit strange at a continental event like this? It's also the same stadium as the Diamond League event in Rabat is held, so they must have wind information.
  22. Denmark at the 2020 Olympics Qualified Athletes/Quotas Athletics Quotas: Women's 400m Hurdles: 1 Total number of athletes qualified for 2020 Olympics: 31
  23. Final Standing available here Speedy Henry_Leon Vektor Let my start somewhere else this time. I wonder where @Wanderer is? Maybe he wanders around in the mountains in New Zealand or Europe, or maybe just in his mind? Okay back to the serious part. First of all, sorry for the late entry list. It wasn't my plan to make it because I don't know much about Canoe and Kayak, but I felt we couldn't skip this contest, so I made one. Hopefully I had many of the favourites on the entry list. "Stop all of your babbling, wumo, and come to the medallists!" Okay, okay... Now it's time to say some few things about the medallists in this contest. Poland didn't win any gold medals at these WCH, but luckily they grabbed the victory in Totallympics Prediction Contest. A strong last day for @Speedy made him go from 3rd to 1st! It is his second medal of the year and the first of gold. A big congratulation goes @Speedy for his well-deserved gold medal! It was a disappointing WCH for Italy in Szeged, and maybe a certain Italian is also a bit disappointed. @Henry_Leon was 1st before the final day, but was, for him unfortunately, overtaken by Speedy on the last metres. However, he will probably be quite satisfied to win a nice silver medal to his prediction contest collection. Second of the year. His first was a bronze and now a silver medal. Maybe next time it will be gold? Congrats, @Henry_Leon, with the silver medal! You don't have to be disappointed at all And we have a new man on the podium! This time Hungary is represented on the Totallympics Prediction Contest podium. A medal for @Vektor in his first prediction contest if I'm not mistaken? Fantastic achievement for the Hungarian. It's certainly something worth celebrating, even though, you likely went for gold. Congrats, @Vektor! A last mention goes to two users, @titicow and @heywoodu. They both had a good last day in the contest which secured them a 4th and a 5th place overall. Maybe we will see one or both of them on the podium in one the upcoming prediction contests? Only time can tell. Once again, here we are. Another contest is over and a new will begin soon, so stay tuned. It's going to be a busy autumn for users in Totallympics Prediction Contests. Finally, thanks to all who participated, and thanks for have taken the time to participate despite the late entry list. I hope @Wanderer will be back for the next contest. Sometimes he is more hidden than Waldo. Bye!
