  1. Me and Agger's inboxes are going to be overloaded with PMs tomorrow.
  2. I knew I would get in trouble for writing that. I'm very sorry for what I wrote. My punishment will be my trying to pronounce "lentokonesuihkuturbiiniapumekaanikkoaliupseerioppilas" correctly. For those who are curious, in English it means "jet engine assistant mechanician non-commissioned officer". Let me take a wild guess and say, Khanty-Mansiysk, or as one speaking Khanty would call the town/city "Ёмвоҷ, Yomvoḉ" and in Mansi "Абга, Abga" You are really a polyglot, Vojtas! It's been long since I last practiced Hungarian. Three years ago I lived with a girl from Slovakia, she was Slovak-Hungarian, so I tried to learn some Hungarian from her. But to no one's suprise, Hungarian is very difficult to learn. She lost her patience with me after some time. At least I tried, but English was just a much easier language to use between each other. Funny you have learned Hungarian, but Finnish don't have you interest? Did you get too frustrated with learning Hungarian that you didn't want to learn another Uralic language? If you one day try to learn Icelandic I will say good luck. Hopefully you will survive the madness of this language.
  3. Why? There are two stories behind my username. Firstly, the inspiration for my username comes from a Danish comic strip named WuMo. It's a abbreviation of the surnames of the two men behind the comic strip, comedian, Mikael Wulff, and illustrator, Anders Morgenthaler. Their daily comic strip is posted here in English: https://www.gocomics.com/wumo/2019/10/05. It's mostly dark humour. Maybe you like these two: http://wumo.com/wumo/2017/11/04 http://wumo.com/wumo/2018/07/13 Secondly, I watched a lot of sumo wrestling on Eurosport when I was younger. It was so cool! When I wanted to create an account for Youtube the name Sumo was already taken, so my younger self thought, what rhymes with Sumo and then Wumo came up. I used to have the username, Mushroom5690. I have always liked Toad from Super Mario and he was a mushroom so it made sense. 5690 is the postal code for the town where I was born. However many people thought that mushroom referred to "magic mushrooms". I dropped it after that.
  4. I do. At the moment I try to learn Chinese, or more specific, Mandarin. The course I have spend most time doing is Dutch. I also do courses in Spanish, French and Hungarian. Some other languages I consider begin learning are Russian and Polish.
  5. @hckosice First of all, this is my personal experience. Speaking: I will say not all Swedish is easy to understand. Personally I can understand most Swedes from the Southern part of the country. It's become more difficult the more north you travel up in Sweden. I do understand most Norwegian, but some of the dialects in the Western parts of the country are very difficult to understand. Written: It's much easier to understand written Swedish and Norwegian for me. Swedish is probably a bit more diffucult to understand written than Norwegian. However, two points about written Norwegian. Norwegian can be separated into two categories: Bokmål (Book language) and Nynorsk (New Norwegian). Bokmål is 95-100% intelligible with Danish, but Nynorsk is much lower. It has to be said that most written Norwegian is in Bokmål, so I have no issue reading it. The other Nordic languages, Finnish, (I'm not really sure if it is considered a Nordic language officially. Uralic langugage is probably more correct), Icelandic, Faroese are so faaaar from Danish. Though, I can pronounce Eyjafjallajökull correctly according to those Icelanders I have spoken with
  6. The end of the voting window comes closer The national juries have one day left to submit their votes to the host jury if they want to receive a ticket to Denmark. The deadline is Friday, October 18th, 22:00 (CEST) These jurors have yet to submit their votes: @konig @LDOG @KingOfTheRhinos @titicow @vinipereira @stefanbg @Canada4thewin @intoronto @Function CR Lee @dcro @Jan Linha@thepharoah @Finnator123 @Bohemia @Janakis @Fly_like_a_don @OlympicIRL @Gianlu33 @Werloc @Glen @mrv86 @Ionoutz24 @heywoodu @Wanderer @rybak @kungshamra71 @IoNuTzZ @DaniSRB @justony @Belle @amen09 @Olympian1010 The host jury hopes to receive the votes from these jurors soon. 10. I know you are all joking about the drama inside the Danish jury, but I have to state that according to the rules of TISC you must send your votes to all members of the host organizing committee. SECTION 3 - NATIONAL JURY VOTING: 3. (a) National juries may consist of a single jury member OR a multi-member jury made up of two or more users from that nation. 3. (b) National juries must send their votes in SECRET (via private message) to the host organising member(s) of the song contest as requested during the designated voting window. 3. (c) Each jury member in a multi-member jury shall send their individual preferences in SECRET (via private message) to the host organising member(s). The votes from each of the members of the multi-member jury will be combined to form a single set of votes which will represent the overall voting preference of that national jury. In this way, the votes from each of the participating national juries, whether single or multi-member juries, will hold equal value or weight. To make it easy, just send one private message where you include both me, Wumo, and Agger in it, instead of sending two separate.
  11. The Host jury has cast its votes: Now it's time for the rest of the world to do the same October 08, 2019 - Another step towards Denmark 2019 has been taken. The Host jury has sent its votes for 2019 TOISC to Totallympics Admin, Sindo, to confirm the votes of the Host jury are valid and in accordance with the rules of TISC. The Host jury expects their votes to be in good hands at Sindo. When one has a profile picture of Walter White, you expect that person be trustworthy and have high moral standards. As the voting window has closed for the Host jury, it's now open for the the National juries. The National juries must submit their votes via PM to both of the members of the Organizing/Host Committee, Agger and Wumo: Here is the voting template for TOISC 2019: VOTES 12 points 11 points 10 points 9 points 8 points 7 points 6 points 5 points 4 points 3 points 2 points 1 point RESERVES 1st Reserve 2nd Reserve 3rd Reserve 4th Reserve The Host Committee would prefer the jurors to only write the names of the countries, or the flags, of the songs they would like to vote for. However, you can also write the name of the song and artist/s if you want. If there are any new jury members who are not sure what the purpose of the reserves are, you can contact Wumo or Agger via PM. Jury members don't have to use the voting template. It would be acceptable if they just write a top 12 themselves. Example: 1. Country A - 12 points 2. Country B - 11 points 3. Country C - 10 points and so forth... As stated above, the voting window for the National juries is now open for the next 10 days. National juries must have sent their votes to Wumo and Agger before the deadline, Friday, October 18th, 22:00 (CEST) in order to confirm the participation of their respective entries at this year’s Grand Final. Those nations failing to submit their votes before the deadline will forfeit their participation and will not make it to Odense, Denmark for TOISC 2019. With all that said, there is now only thing left to say: "Europe, start voting now!" Ups, wrong song contest... We mean, "Totallympics, let the voting begin!" #2019TOISC #TogetherWeMakeItPossible
13. I'm sorry, but I don't seem to understand what the issue here is? As AIFHg writes, the universality places are distrubuted as the last thing after Standards and World Ranking. According to me there is no specification in the qualification document about a minimum of athletes or % of athletes coming from the IAAF World Ranking. For example minimum 20% of the athletes must come from the IAAF World Ranking. Of course I could have completed missed your point and I'm very sorry if I have. It was not my intention at all.
  14. No, it should be 39 songs. It's this one you mean? https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLICNv5ge4lvdw959yveHEjqXULcvFml7I If it only shows 31, could you go the first post of the thread and try to find the songs which are missing from the list you see. When you find the songs, write a new post with the names of the songs.
  15. Here is an status on the voting process from one half of the host jury: First Tier: A solid top 3 has been formed. Number 1, 2 and 3 look to be be safe. Second Tier: Ranking between 4-9. At the moment it seems that I have the songs for these positions, but not in any particular order. In any case, they should end up being in my top 12. Third Tier: This is the really tough part of the ranking to determine. One day I have three songs in 10-12th place, the next day three new songs. There are 9 songs who compete for the three last spots on my top 12. I will most definitely have 4 reserves this year. I'm a bit frustrated at the moment... It's probably gonna be a last hour decision from my side.
  16. and if that one doesn't work, you can try this:
  17. A very successful first step: 39 countries registered for TOISC 2019 in Denmark. October 04, 2019 - After two intense weeks of promoting 2019 TISC Open to the Totallympics community, the organizing committee can happily announce that it has received 39 entries, nominated by the same number of national juries composed of 48 jury members. This is currently the highest number of National juries and members since the successful 2018 TAISC in Brazil. The organizing committee is proud of this achievement, which includes return from 6 juries, Canada, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Sweden. We can also welcome a few new jury members to the TISC family and let us not forget that a certain amount of former jurors are back for 2019 TISC Open after they have missed one or more of the last editions of TISC. Next on schedule, is the voting process which starts tomorrow, with the host jury having to select their preferred entries. As usual, the host jury will send it votes to one or more neutral sources which will certify that the voting process is done in fairness. The deadline for the host jury is Tuesday, October 8th, 20:00 (CEST). Once this process has been completed, the remaining National juries will have to cast their own votes. This process will run for 10 days until Friday, October 18th, 22:00 (CEST). On that note, the playlist for 2019 TISC Open is now available: 2019 TOISC Playlist The playlist has also been placed in the first post of the thread. The organizing committee would recommend all jury members to already start listen to the entries now or as soon as possible. If there are any issues with one or more videos, you can write a post in this thread or write a PM to me, Wumo. Lastly, the organizing committee has done its best to bring attention to this year's contest, but it is aware that it couldn't have reached such an impressive number of participants without you, the Totallympics community. It is your interest and passion for TISC that makes this possible, so it is with the deepest gratitude that the organizing committee would like to thank you, the Totallympians, for your massive support for 2019 TISC Open in Denmark. Together we make it possible. #2019TOISC #TogetherWeMakeItPossible
  18. Under 2 hours left before the registration period closes and there is one question everybody is asking. Where are you, @Glen? I know the weather is not so great in Denmark as it is in Malta in October, but we hope to see you and your entry soon. (I hope the penguins don't play any role in this...)
  19. No, they are not included in the cap of every single event. There is a cap of 1900 athletes in athletics overall which include the relay athletes and universality places. If you add up all the the athlete quotas in every event, you get 1874 athletes. This means that there are 26 athlete quotas for those athletes who only run relay and universality places.
  20. Finnator123 has said he's going to participate. I'm still not sure about and justony.

  23. Sorry. You discovered it yourself while I was writing my post.

  25. Divine Oduduru and Blessing Okagbare will be given a spot at the starting line for the 200 meters at the world championships. Okagbare tells The Associated Press that track’s governing body, the IAAF, has approved the appeal from the two Nigerians and reinstated them into the meet after a paperwork mix-up led to them being disqualified. Nigeria’s track federation had entered both runners in the 100-meter races, even though neither intended to compete at that distance. When they didn’t show up, IAAF rules called for them to be disqualified from the rest of the meet, including their main events, the 200, and the 4x100 relays. But after learning more about the mix-up, an IAAF appeals panel reinstated them. Oduduru, the NCAA champion out of Texas Tech, is scheduled to race later Sunday. Okagbare is the 2013 bronze medalist at 200 meters, and is scheduled to race in preliminaries on Monday. https://www.apnews.com/6c5c2ec6321b439cb2e5895782570b8e
