  1. We can add Lesotho to the list of qualified nations in athletics. Khoarahlane Joseph Seutloali has achieved the entry standard in men's marathon. https://www.capetownmarathon.com/results/
  2. Lesotho have qualified their first athlete for Tokyo. Men's Marathon (Athletics) https://www.capetownmarathon.com/results/
  3. What a day, tour and year for Slovenian cycling. An astounding attack by young Pogačar in today's stage. Primož Roglič with Slovenia's first Grand Tour win. Two Slovenian riders on the same grand tour podium. Three Slovenian grand tour podiums this year. (None before this year) Rogličx5. Former ski jumper, now grand tour winner. Pogačar x10. Just because he is only 20 years old, for his performance today and three stage wins in his first grand tour. What a cyclist he can become. (Of course there is still one stage left, but hopefully nothing dramatic will happen .)
  4. Okay, I didn't see that coming. Kim Clijsters makes a comeback at the age of 36. Let's see how it will go. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2019/sep/12/kim-clijsters-comes-out-of-tennis-retirement-for-a-second-time

  6. Wow France! What a victory over USA. Félicitations!
  7. I'm just curious, but why do you have that opinion?
  8. 1) It's European Athletics who organises this event, not IAAF. 2) I agree with you point that it should be held in years with no WCH or Olympics. It will only clash with the ECH, but it can be solved. I'm most worried that this competition will end up being a nobody cares competition. We already have IAAF Continental Cup which many tend to forget. Yesterday the Danish commentators talked about how nice it could be if the rest of the Americas would join USA. Also Africa and Asia could join. As they said, "Let's see if we are going to have a competition between the continents. It would be interesting". I was doing this. Not that many people care about team events in athletics as far as I can read around on some forums. Having too many of them could make them even less interesting. Of course this is just my own opinion and I can't even come up with an idea/format for a global team event where all the best athlete would compete and at the same time make it interesting to watch.

  10. This is sad... My friend is probably shaking her head at the moment. She is Slovakian-Hungarian and she often tells me how annoyed and frustrated she is about situations like these. She wishes people like those tonight at the stadium would at least act like decent people and show some respect to each other no matter what ethnicity they are.
  11. That is correct. Ernest John Obiena achieved the Olympic Standard in men's pole vault in Chieti, Italy, with 5.81m. https://www.iaaf.org/athletes/philippines/ernest-john-obiena-290722
  12. The church bells are ringing in Maranello. Bravo, Charles!
  13. This says it all about today for Antonio Brown
  14. I think the name of the Japanese diver is Ken Terauchi. I googled his name and found his instagram account. He posted this, so pretty sure it's him: https://www.instagram.com/p/B2HOeb8gpmM/ I also think I found the results for the top 3 via a Chinese-Malaysian website. Men's 3m springboard 1. Ken Terauchi 416.10 points 2. Chew Yiwei 409.05 points 3. Ooi Tze Liang 408.75 points @JoshMartini007 A small correction. Terauchi's score was 416.10 points, not 426.10 points. I have edited his result.
  15. I'm pretty sure you watch much more sports than I do. My studies take too much of my time, so I often tend to follow via livescore or just look at the results lists.
  16. I have a on-demand function via my tv-company, so I can watch what I missed later.
  17. On another note. The qualification period for the WCH ended yesterday, so now we are waiting for the official start list.
  18. Okay, tv-company/broadcaster. You know a company who sells tv/channel-packages.
  19. @ahjfcshfghb and @phelps It's very likely you both know much more about this than I do. I never use my Eursport Player because I have access to Eurosport through a company. I just tried to answer heywoodu's question. If you say it should work outside Europe, I guess heywoodu would be very pleased with that.
  20. Are you asking because you are going to Brasil? If you do, I did this. I used a VPN, connected to a Brazilian server and this happened when I tried to use Eurosport player:
  21. According to this site, Eurosport will broadcast it in every European nation. Or that is what I think "Pan Europe" means? https://www.watchathletics.com/page/1718/iaaf-world-championships-tv-right-holders-by-territhory
  22. I think this video shows her attempt better
  23. Yesterday in Andujar, Spain, Yulimar Rojas produced the second farthest triple jump of all-time with a jump of 15.41m. It is only 9cm shy of Kravets WR.
  24. She is too busy playing football.
  25. Really? Here in Denmark we call it "Svensker garn" which translated means "Swedish haircut". I have no idea why?
