    More information about "IFF Launches Fan Survey"
    The International Floorball Federation has launched a new fan survey, with the chance for fans to win a prize. The new fan survey centers around the topic of sustainability. The IFF hopes to discern the views of the greater floorball community on environmental sustainability, in order to drive future initiatives related to the sport. The IFF has partnered with the Glion Institute for Higher Education in order to carry out the survey. Students at the school composed the questions for the survey, and will also perform analysis on the results. UNIHOC, a sponsor of the International Floorball Federation, will support the survey by giving participants a chance to win one of their SUPERSKIN sticks. The survey closes on January 28th.     It would be a little hypocritical of the IOC to ban/sanction the Italian NOC, when they didn’t take action against the US NOC, after the US government passed a law essentially saying that international competitions with US athletes fall under our legal jurisdiction...

    Yep, familiar with the roller exploits of Soberanis. She was a “hero” at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games, since she stopped a Colombian sweep of the roller speed skating events. Her best event tends to be the 200m/300m time trial, but she’s decent in the 500m too.

    I don’t know...the Finnish skier was in front, and he chose the outer lane. The Russian followed him into the lane (not on purpose most likely), and then was mad that the Finnish skier skied in the center of that lane. To me, that part of the move was clean. If the Russian is faster, then the onus is on him to go into a different lane and pass. Now, if the Finnish skier blocks him then, then that would be a dirty move.

    Saw some of the esports racers I follow were racing the e-version of the Rolex 24 at Daytona this weekend. That served as a good reminder that the “real” race is scheduled to take place next weekend. I came across an early version of the start list. Lots of big names from IndyCar, NASCAR, and the various Endurance racing scenes will be at the start. There will be 5 classes (DPI, LMP2, LMP3, GTLM, GTD) contesting this years race (smallest is GT Le Mans with only 6 entires, largest is GT Daytona with 19), and there should be 49 entries in total.     Which team sport though? Outside of Baseball/Softball or Cricket I can’t see any others really challenging for/deserving a spot on the Olympic program. Plus, even Baseball/Softball and Cricket suffer from many of the same problems as Water Polo in terms of competitive diversity. Edit: Rugby 15s could also be in the mix, but again, similar issues, and more quotas.

    Yes, of course. I was just trying to point out that having a traditional spot on the program, doesn’t mean your guaranteed a spot in the future. I believe Water Polo is safe for the time being though.

    Boxing and Weightlifting have been around longer, and their place at the Olympic Games looks anything but guaranteed at this point...
